This is an original blue on blue SS 138 car. It has 22,000.00 miles and has been a race car most of its life. It appears to have original paint and stickers from back in the day. The quarters were repaired around tire area and repainted. As you can see in pictures the colors are a close match but not identical. This car has been garage kept its entire life and is rust free. This is by far one of the most solid 66 bodies I have seen. The interior is all original to the car as well. All the trim, bumpers, moldings, and grill are in excellent shape. If you are car enthusiast you will love this car. The previous owner purchased the car in 1972 and it has been well preserved with a neat history of racing. I have also added some pics of this car racing. It was raced at Bluegrass Raceway south of Lexington, KY. It ran 11.83 in a quarter mile. This car has a 68 396 engine, 550 lift cam, with closed chamber heads, and 1000 HP Holley Carburetor. A new clutch kit was installed and a blow proof bell housing, as well as a M 21 big shaft Muncie. The rear end is the original 12 bolt poss with i think a 4 10 gear. New Firestone tires on front. It has the orange hubs and orange control arms like they painted back in the day. This is a super neat car if you like old nostalgia race cars. The tow kit that was used to haul car to races is in trunk. If you are interested or have any questions please give me a call.
