Restored rust free California car. This Thunderbird was originally sold in California and spent most of its life there. Original black California plates come with the car. The restoration was started in California and completed in Mesa, Arizona. The car was sold and spent one year in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I purchased the car and moved it to Albuquerque, New Mexico. This car has been in California and the desert southwest its entire life except for one year in Tulsa. Restoration photos show the car stripped to bare metal and rust free. The car comes with a three ring binder of restoration photos and receipts. This is a very good driver quality car. I drove the car from Tulsa to Albuquerque without a problem. The car has approximately 13,200 miles since the restoration was complete. Everything on the car is ’62 Thunderbird standard equipment or factory optional equipment except the wheels. The wheels are American Racing 16” x 8” with new Goodyear tires. The paint is a ’62 Thunderbird color, Deep Sea Blue Metallic. Comes with matching paint fender skirts. Two spray cans and one brush-bottle of matching touchup paint are included. The car comes with the following receipts and documentation in a three ring binder: rebuilt 390 cubic inch engine – built to use unleaded fuel; rebuilt distributor; rebuilt carburetor; rebuilt automatic transmission; rebuilt breaks; rebuilt suspension and steering including rebuilt power steering box, bushings, rod ends, ball joints, springs, etc.; new carpet, headliner, dash pad, seat covers, etc.; stainless steel Magnaflow exhaust; stainless steel break lines and fuel line; new undercoating; new electric window motors on all four windows; new rubber seals on front and back windshields, trunk, and hood; new side window rubber seals and felt; new body to bumper seals; re-chromed front and rear bumpers; many other items too numerous to list. Standard features on a ’62 Thunderbird include power steering, power brakes, swing-away steering wheel, day and night rear view mirror, and two speed windshield wipers. The car has the factory optional engine chrome dress up kit. The car came from the factory loaded with options including blue tinted glass, power windows, power seat, push button AM radio, and air conditioning. The air conditioning works when charged but loses the charge. The original radio works. The car comes with a box full of related books and manuals. This Thunderbird is a great cruise night car.
