Up for Auction is a 1928 Buick 54C with Buffalo Wire wheel option / Side mounts in mid restoration and custom body build. It was purchased from a prior owner who had the entire chassis rebuilt along with Engine, Steering Box, Genarator, Ing system, Starter, Carbuator, Vacuum Tank ect. Chassis alone $16,000.00, Engine $7000.00 Plus many other expences, wood kit apx 75% of the car, waterpump, shocks, exhaust system with manifold, intake manifold, Tires, Wiring ect totaling apx $40,000.00 plus. Car was purchased with a target to enter in the Great Race and now health issues are forcing sale. I took as many photos as possable of the car so I wont list all the things you can see, their are still boxes of hardware and fasteners, brackets, and small stuff not shown. The car is still almost coplete aside from the rear fenders and vacuum windshild motor and body has been greatly modified. We do have the complete Horn.You can see right inside the engine because the spark plugs are so large and see the new nice machine marks on the cylinder walls, and it has been oiled and turned over on a regular baises. After our purchase and now found excitement we had lots of chrome work done, sourced better running lights and headlight buckets and Had them plated ( Mind blowing to see in person, they are huge ) $3,000.00 plus. Had gages reconditioned $2,800.00. Transmission rebuilt and installed it $1,150.00. Grill Shell $681.00. Oil Filter Element $175.00. Buick Trunk ( We think Alagator ) $900.00. New fuel tank. Not to mention all the labor. With the wanting of more light / safety their are some "Stop Lights" and mirrors that are Model A esk. The body is setup for a sport style windshild and those brakets have been plated, no glass. The car comes with lots of Photos, in process docs, Shop Manual, Two Reference books,Wiring diagrams, Some nice Historic Articials and an Orignal Sales Brochure.
