Vehicle Detail
Overall excellent shape. Rust free, TX vehicle. Never smoked in, or had small children. Full Husky molded floor liners since day one. Carpets in like new condition. Still have original mats. Very reliable vehicle. I have replaced the alternator, radiator (w/all aluminum unit) and front suspension items (upper and lower ball joints, bushings). Otherwise, just regular maintenance items. Oil & filter, fuel & air filters changed at factory intervals. Shocks replaced every 50,000 miles. New batteries in '08. Nothing else ever broke except factory CD changer. Replaced with 2013 Kenwood in dash DVD. Has Bluetooth capability, hands-free calling and backup camera. Added Kenwood subwoofer and amplifier under second row seat. The vehicle has the towing package and I added a brake controller. We intended to get a camper but haven't. So, it has never towed anything heavier than a Honda Accord. It has heated manual telescoping mirrors and receiver hitch. It has every option the Limited package had available except a factory rear DVD player. I am the original owner, having purchased the vehicle new in March 2002. It has been used primarily as my car (I also have a p/u). I later remarried and it became a family vacation vehicle and served us excellently. It has taken us to 31 states trouble free! This vehicle truly is the best "road trip" car I've owned. My wife and daughter are never limited in what they pack ;-). It can go anywhere, anytime. It averages 15-16 mpg on the highway at 75 - 80 mph (we can drive 85 legally on some TX roads). I can't say enough about how much I have enjoyed this vehicle. But our daughter is grown and off at college for a couple of years now and we do not take the big family trips like we used to. Additionally, I have a pickup w/a manual trans that my wife cannot drive, so I intend to sell both (see separate listing for my 2003 Dodge Ram 2500). This is a great vehicle that will serve someone well for years. The 7.3 L engine is regarded as the best Ford used and I concur. This is a quiet, comfortable and very safe vehicle. It is a joy to take on long road trips. These aren't made any more and it is increasingly hard to find them, especially in this great shape. I take very good care of my vehicles! Payment terms: vehicle and title can be picked up upon confirmation of receipt of purchase price in my bank account. F.O.B. shipping point, buyer responsible for shipping if that delivery method is desired.
