Vehicle Detail
1972 Mercury Cougar XR7 convert, parts or restoration, good title, bill of sale and previous registration from CT. 351C 2bbl v8, auto trans, 9" rear end, runs with good oil pressure but does have a lifter tick as it hadn't been run for 20 years until it was pulled out of the barn when I bought it. I needed a convertible top frame for a restoration of a 71 Mustang and since most mechanical parts interchange between Cougars and Mustangs the top frame is a direct fit. That said, the top frame with the Cougar is broken but complete. The car starts, runs, and moves on its own, but is not drivable due to only partial brakes. It has power windows which mostly work, full gauge package, console, power top (pump works) but frame is not attached. Frame and chassis are pretty solid, floors and trunk are decent but would need some work. Has new brakes up front but they have been on the car for 20 years, car just was not driven. Complete car with all the grilles, lenses and chrome, front bumper is good, rear bumper has bad chrome, car was originally Yellow, now maroon/brown. This is a great parts car but could be restored that is up to the next owner.
