It's got the room to bring the family along, but this one is truly set up for the driver. Yes...black is beautiful; black is sinister; and when it's put on in such as butter-smooth shine, black is perfect. We love a car that's as dark as midnight, because then we don't have to tell you how perfect the body is. No dents or bad panel gaps could ever hide from this immaculate paint. The shine of the black is set off by such great other features like the red striping. This one is not trying to be an SS clone, and so you actually get the brighter grille and fender accents of the upscale Chevelle Malibu trim. While chrome is always a nice showpiece, it's purposely missing from the 17-inch Ridler sport wheels, which helps signify that this coupe means business. The red stripe in front is a cool custom piece that matches the hints of red interior that can be seen from the outside. Plus, it's a custom take on the optional Chevy Sport Stripe, which gives a subtle hint to bow tie fans that this one is a very special Chevelle. Inside the red interior feels like you're the bull running at the matador. Just grab the three-spoke sport steering wheel with one hand, and the cue ball shifter with the other...now get ready to charge! In the calmer moments in this high quality Chevelle, you'll notice the upgraded bucket seats with the durability of vinyl but the feeling of leather. Plus, this car comes with air conditioning, so it seats five people in total comfort on those hot days. All of the windows are new. This might seem like an odd piece to add to a restoration, but new glass and rubber help give the car a tighter, factory-fresh feeling...but again, a feeling of quality. Have you picked up on the performance hints yet in this description? If not, here's a huge one, literally. Under the hood is a custom built Eagle Performance 383 V8 motor. This mega-bored small-block roller motor makes around 450 hp and has an exceptionally mean growl out of the dual exhaust. You're in complete control of all this power thanks to a Muncie M21 four-speed manual, with the right spacing to enjoy on the streets. The final step is a stout Hotchkis performance suspension before the Nitto tires put the power to the pavement. Even with all of these performance parts, this Chevelle can be used for more than just intimidation. The other advantage of a roller motor like this V8 is that it also creates less friction for a smoother and longer lasting performance. Combine this with the power steering, and power brakes (discs up front), and this is a monster that you shouldn't have to ever be afraid to take for a midnight drive.
