Vehicle Detail

1966 Chevelle Super Sport SS-396 2-door hard top for sale. This is an estate sale and this beauty belonged to my uncle. I would've liked to keep this car but I have no place to store it. We need to sell it before the house in which its garaged is also sold. To that end it's being sold as-is, even though with some TLC it could be worth a ton more. This car was garaged & covered when not in use. We drove it approximately 20 miles to get a cracked windshield replaced on an insurance claim and it drove great -- we couldn't see any issues. Seller info: Location: Windsor, Connecticut Phone number for questions: 860-683-2065 (home) or 860-794-5562 (cell) Payment: Cashiers check or cash (no Paypal please, the fees are too high for something like this) Please contact us if you would like to take a look at the car in person, we are available any day in the afternoon hours Engine: 396 Cubic Inch (6.5L) Big Block Turbo-Jet V8, makes about 350 HP Runs great & sounds amazing, see YouTube video below (sorry about poor camera work!) YouTube link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eMP4E7G1wY8 Cold start crank takes maybe 5 seconds for fuel flow to get going, warm crank starts instantly. Engine paint is a bit dirty in a few spots, see engine pictures below. Interior & accessories: Overall, great condition Seats: Look great, no rips Floors / upholstry: Clean & they look practically new Seat belts: Lap belts only, they seem to work Seat trim: Disjointed in one spot, see pictures below Air conditioning: Not equipped on this model Radio: regular radio / no cassette Exterior: Tires: Tread looks like they are almost new, see tire pictures below Rims: Original, good condition. Paint: A few bubbles on the hood (pictured), top of drivers side door (pictured), bottom of door sill (not pictured, but looks the same). A line and chip is visible on the rear right side light near the trunk (pictured). These were the spots we noticed, there may be a few others. Still looks fantastic from a few feet back. Glass: On the right door a piece of trim is missing so the window does not seal, see picture Dents: We did not see any. Chrome: Perfect as far as we could see. History: Since this vehicle was inherited I do not have much info on this. It looks like it has been restored. Previous owner: According to registration: Private sale from a local man on June 2013, actual purchase price unknown Before that: We have an old State of Georgia title from Mershon's World of Cars, purchase price listed as $26,900. I can provide a copy for those interested. I checked with the DMV and they say the state of Connecticut does not issue titles for cars made before 1994 which is why the old title was never turned in.
