I STEPPED ON THE BRAKES AT 55MPH AND THEIR WAS NO SHAKING OR PULLING. * NO RUST ON ROCKER PANELS. NO RUST UNDER THE DOORS. * NO RUST AROUND THE WINDSHIELD * NO FUNNY NOISES FROM THE FRONT END. NICE ANY TIGHT * PASSED NJ STATE INSPECTION AND EMISSION TEST. STICKER GOOD * THE CAR HAS A MISFIRE ALTHOUGH ITS NOT A BIG ONE IT IS NOTICEABLE BECAUSE IT FEELS UNDER POWERED. I HAVE DROVE THE CAR UP TO 60MPH AND ABOUT 40 MILES IN TOTAL SINCE I BOUGHT IT. I DON'T WANT TO DRIVE IT MUCH BECAUSE I DON'T WANT IT TO GET WORSE. * THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. THE ONLY REASON YOU DON'T SEE IT ON ON MY PHOTOS IS BECAUSE I RESET THE CHECK ENGINE SO IT WILL COME UP AGAIN. I DIAGNOSED IT WITH MY CODE READER AND THE FOLLOWING CODE CAME UP P0299 & P0101. I GOOGLED THE CODE AND IT SAYS (LOW PRESSURE ON THE TURBO). I TOOK PHOTOS OF THE CODES AS THEY CAME UP ON MY CODE READER. I PERSONALLY DONT THINK THE TURBO IS THE ISSUES BECAUSE USUALLY WHEN TURBOS GO BAD THEY START TO DUMP OIL INTO THE MUFFLER AND MAKE THE CAR SMOKE HEAVY OUT THE TAIL PIPE. * THEIR IS VERY LITTLE OR NO BLOW BY SMOKE UNDER THE OIL CAP. ALL MY PHOTOS WERE TAKEN WHILE THE CAR WAS ON SO AS YOU CAN SEE THEIR IS VERY LITTLE TO NO SMOKE COMING OUT OF TAIL PIPE. ENGINE STARTS UP QUICKLY AND WITH NO ISSUES EVERYTIME. * THE AIR CONDITION IS NOT BLOWING COLD SO MAY NEED TO BE RECHARGED WITH FREON ** I HAVE HONESTLY DONE MY BEST TO DESCRIBE THIS CAR TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE. IM NOT SAYING THAT ISSUE MY CAR HAS BUT IM NOT A MECHANIC BUT DID MY BEST TO DESCRIBE THE ISSUE AND THE CODES. Dear c.c.a.m, The cam,lifters and cam bearing are what you will find bad in engine. Bad design, 3 lobs per cylinder, they had to redesign engine to correct. a/c problem is most likely regulator valve on back of compressor, $60 plus labor. My 2006 Jetta had same problems at 197000 miles. I will still bid because I like the cars. - cbai3145
