Selling my Bugatti kit car built on a VW beetle pan. This car is unique from other kits I have seen in that the body is all aluminum. There is no fiberglass on this body. It appears that someone may have handmade this sometime back in the late 70's. I do have some paperwork from when it was sold at a dealer in the early 80's. A new VA Vin was given in 77 when built and the pan still contains the official riveted vin tag. The drivetrain is a 1200cc 6volt from a 66 Beetle. Car has alot of new parts in the past 2 years. Runs and drives great. New parts: Distributor Rebuilt Carburetor Electric fuel pump Exhaust headers and jtubes Tierods Shocks Tires Wheel cylinders, shoes, and hardware Gas tank and fuel sender Axle covers Hood Straps This car is completely drivable although mostly an in-town kinda car. It will do 55mph however if you choose to be daring ( can get a little shaky at high speeds). I have driven a few times on a 40 mile commute in traffic without any issue. It is a blast to drive. I am 5'10" and fit fine however those any taller may have issue as it is a small and light car. Some things that could be done to make it perfect would be a better bench seat and replace the nonworking clock in the dash. The dash lights would need to be wired if desired. I will also include extra parts I have for the car such as the fenders if you want to mount them back on, engine seal kit, box of spare parts I have. This is an open roadster so I highly recommend a garage for it. I just don't have the room for it anymore. You will get lots of looks and compliments with this car.
