This is mostly a 1 owner, a family in NC bought it from a guy in Atlanta in 1980. They eventually moved on to Motor Homes. A handy and talented neighbor bought it from them last year and restored alot of it himself. He paid to have it repainted, took every thing out put oak plywood flooring down and linoleum, new axles, wheels and tires (less than a 100 miles on them) and undercoated. He rewired the whole van, put some white led lights and some blue ones under the bed behind the couch and under the dash. The outside tail and front flashers are oem replaced as well as the metal chrome headlight and front VW and added fog lights. Everything is here, the table that attaches to dash, front seats redone padding and covers, kid hammock, original snap on front window covers, custom made curtains. New pump and sink faucet, replaced driver and passenger windows. Fabricated a new rear bumper that has steel bar that slides out and slips in right side of bumper with rings to tie off a hammock etc. The tent is new and so is the rubber seal, he said the seal was $500 alone. This is a really cool vehicle. I had a vette for sale on craigs list and traded for the van a month ago. The van runs and drives good, every thing works except the fridge was converted to a cooler with a drain. Engine: engine room seal, altinator/rubber boot, belt, spark plugs/wires, air filter, voltage regulator, wire connectors, battery terminals, ground lead, battery shutoff, gear box serviced new fluid, oil change filter, battery and box, cleaned contacts in cap/new rotor.
