Up for sale is a beautiful and very hard to find 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Z71 extended cab with 6.5’ bed. I am the 3rd owner of this truck. I purchased the truck in 2010 with 60k miles on it. The gentleman I purchased this truck from maintained it meticulously and I have done the same. This truck is very clean and there is no body rust whatsoever. These trucks were known to have rust issues with the cab corners and rocker panels, so I had them professionally replaced by a body show in 2013 as the old ones were beginning to show some surface rust. I have coated all of the body seams on the truck with linseed oil each year I’ve owned it to prevent any rust (any residue you see on the rockers or seams is just dried linseed oil). This truck is clean and you’d be hard pressed to find one this nice, with this low of miles. Here are some of the features/options:· Z71 Off-road package· Heavy Duty Bilstein Shocks in 2013· 5.3 liter Vortec Performance Package (now called Vortec Maxx), this is what makes this truck hard to find, most trucks from this year had the 295hp 5.3 liter Vortec engine, this one with the performance package produces 310hp and since I own a suburban with the 295hp engine I can tell you it is noticeable! See the pics of window sticker but this was an expensive option· Tow package / with tow haul mode and 3.42 gears· Performance stainless steel flowmaster exhaust with chromed tip (this is the only modification done to this truck, and I have the stock muffler I will include). Here are some of the significant maintenance things done:· Tow haul / shift lever replaced· Steering shaft replaced (there was a TSB about some of the trucks from this year having excessive play in the steering column)· Driver Side upper control arm replaced· Water pump replaced at 95k· All idler pulleys and belts replaced at 90k· Both front wheel bearing hubs replaced (one at 75k one at 85k)· Cab corners and rocker panels professionally replaced in 2013· Radiator and cooling system flushed at 95k· Transmission fluid and filter changed (not flushed!) at 93k· New front brakes (rotors and pads at 85k)· New rear brakes and rotors at 90k· New rear wheel cylinders at 90k· New Airbag Impact sensors in 2014· Both front axle seals replaced at 67k · Rear main seal replaced at 67k· Rear differential seal replaced at 67k· New Shift Cable at 67k· New Speedometer at 63k· Complete tune up at 90k (new iridium spark plugs, wires)· New battery in 2013· Complete new front end (tie rod ends, pitman arm, idler arm) at 90kThis truck has been a dream to own and drive, outside of normal wear items the truck has never failed me. The truck, starts, runs and drives beautifully. The only issue the truck currently has is I can’t get the spare tire to go back up (it was lowered to install the Flowmaster exhaust and now the crank won’t retract). I just put the spare tire in the bed. Overall condition is very good (excellent for it’s age). The exterior is in very good condition and the paint is glossy (just took a clay bar over entire truck and waxed it), there are a few SMALL dings here and there (see pics) and scratches but nothing significant. I only run synthetic oil and change it every 3500 miles. All other fluids and filters have been routinely changed. The truck has been greased at every other oil change interval. The truck currently has 17” painted steel rims with Bridgestone Mud Terrain T/A tires (75%) on it, I also am including the factory 17” 5 spoke aluminum rims with General Grabber HTS tires (less than 50% tread life) as well. This is a great truck and the only reason I’m selling it is because I am upgrading to a diesel. All it needs is a new owner! NADA value on this truck is roughly $16K and my reserve is thousands less than that. Clear title (no liens either). The truck is located near Denver, CO. Thanks!!!On Aug-15-15 at 13:16:12 PDT, seller added the following information: A few things I thought of to address questions:The bedliner is a spray in Rhino Liner and I am including a bottle of Rhino Shine which cleans the surface and brings it back to a nice black finish (it looks dull in the pictures, I pressure washed the bed out but there is still some dust and dirt residue which dulls the finish in the picture). The interior is clean and has NEVER been smoked in, the leather seats are in great condition and the only wear is on the driver side where almost all of the seats from this era crack (though this one is minor as you can see in the pics). The carpet is like new as the weather tech mats have kept it clean. The heated / power seats all work great. Everything on the truck is ready to go, and I would not hesitate to drive it cross country if you are buying it out of state. I am including the factory OEM aluminum 5 spoke rims. They currently have General Grabber HTS tires mounted on them that have a season or two of tread left on them.
