0 0 0 1961 Facel Vega HK500 Rare model.... this example is one of less than 500 ever produced. One family owned since 1965 in California, a nice original Black Plate survivor. Always garaged and well cared for. French design and production with Chrysler supplied V/8 engine and transmission. Very popular in its time with Movie Stars, dignitaries etc. This car is equipped with a very uncommon factory metal sunroof; also has 4 wheel disc brakes. Number Matching (Facel's #) engine per a production run copy that came with car. See photo, verifies colors and sunroof. Very original rust free, no accident car. {very minor surface corrosion small area below trunk lid…common for this model} One older repaint in Factory color of Tudor Grey with an attractive contrasting beige leather interior. Still has Factory interior with exception of front seat leather and carpet... both replaced by prior long time owner with quality materials in correct pattern. The remaining original panels / rear seat are in good condition with slight patina and have been re-dyed as original some time ago. The wood dash finish still shows excellent. Driven sparingly it only has 79K kilometers. In Hollywood California since 1965 with the same owner until this year, he acquired it in Paris France in 1965. According to production record car originally dispatched to "Sarre"; believed to be short for Sarre-Union, a town on the France - Germany border. Car has its original Facel Data Plate along with a second German issued plate with weight etc. Both show the cars serial number of CC7. Runs very well, no smoke or issues. Paint is showing age with numerous chips and slight lacquer checking upon close inspection. Brakes stop but not well and will require work.
