Vehicle Detail

I am selling this bike for one of my riding buddies who just changed jobs and no longer has time to ride in his current assignment. He purchased this bike new in 2006 in the Minneapolis area and has been the only owner/rider. All maintenance and recalls has been done at the dealer there or in Nashville at our local BMW dealer. It was just serviced and had 2 recalls completed this month. I have a large folder of receipts that go with the sale of the bike. This bike has no damage history and has not been wrecked. I have a clear, signed title ready to transfer in my possession. The owner is mature (50's) and has babied this bike. Always in a heated/cooled garage and no rust, scratches, imperfections etc. Please look at the pics as they tell the story. It comes with BMW factory side cases ($985), BMW tank bag ($300) Autocom communications module, Gadget Guy Mount for GPS, Valentine-1 and Garmin antenna for satellite radio. It is hardwired for a V1 and Garmin GPS, not included. The tires are serviceable and the bike can be ridden right away. It starts, runs, stops and rides like the low miles clean bike it is. It also has a ThrottleMeister throttle lock and the desirable ESA from BMW. If you are looking at this ad, then you know about the slant K bikes from BMW. Reserve is low and we fully intend to sell, not advertise the bike. I will assist with shipping, in that I can arrange, with some notice, to be here for the pickup. Bike is located in Brentwood, TN 37027 at exit 71 on I65, just south of Nashville TN. I am not a dealer, just a friend helping sell the bike. I do have lots of information on the bike and will do my best to answer all the questions thru eBay. Also included is a cam-buss type BMW factory battery maintainer that plugs in to one of the two BMW style accessory plugs. Please contact me for further info. I can receive texts at 615-473-8885. Calls are more difficult because of my business/work schedule. If you are near and want to come look at the bike please email me thru eBay and I can possibly arrange time to show the bike. Someone is going to buy a really nice sport touring BMW for a very reasonable price. Good Luck.On Jul-31-15 at 13:34:04 PDT, seller added the following information: He guys, I want to take a minute and answer some questions I have received in the last day or so. I will do my best to answer all questions, but a little about me first. I have spent the last 25 years or so on airheads, multiple oil heads and a K1200rs when they first came out. I also have tons of miles on sport touring bikes i.e., FJR, ST1300s, Bandit1250s, Concourse 1300, etc. I trained as a mechanical engineer in college back in the day and do most of my own wrenching, changing tires, etc. This bike has only 30K+ miles on it, and for a modern water cooled bike that is minimal at best. One question relates to it's readiness for a long trip- as in a fly and ride to the west coast. With any multi day trip I would want time to ride the bike, check or change or at least top off any fluids and also install fresh tires for such a long trip. The tires on it are fine for local rides or a ride home here in the southeast, but not 2000 miles to the west coast. Also, I would want time to bond with the bike a bit before I headed out on such a long trip. Just my opinion based on many years experience. Next question; One bidder wanted to know the value and usefulness of the pictured accessories. After many trips to Colorado, Utah, N. and S. Dakota, MT and Idaho to ride our beautiful Rockies, I learned what I preferred on a LD bike. This bike is set up exactly for that and includes many needed accessories. My list and the pictures show what come with this bike. The BMW integral cases are in excellent condition and these are not cheap. The GadgetGuy.Net mount will hold a radar detector, Garmin Zumo GPS, Garmin Satellite radio antenna, (pictured). This mount was close to 400$. The Autocom unit pictured under the seat ties all the signals together, GPS, Valentine 1 radar, Sat. radio etc. This UK made unit was state of the art for many years. The tank bag is the BMW specific bag for this bike with the plastic fuel tank-complete with straps type mounting system. The Throttlemesister throttle lock is very handy on long stretches of freeway out west. The bike comes with a cam-bus type of BMW battery charger. It works properly and looks new. In looking at the retail price of all the aforementioned accessories; I came up with a retail total of $2330. Even at 50% retail, for used bike accessories, these included items are adding value to an already nice bike. Question; Is this bike scratched, damaged or bent in any way? I know the pictures can't show everything, but this bike is as close to flawless for a used bike as you are going to find. The wheels aren't scratched, bodywork is nice and flaw free, chrome on muffler is unscratched etc. It really is pristine. Question; What is the reserve or BIN? The reserve is close to being met and there is no buy it now. Also, I am not a dealer and this bike will sell at the eBay price. The ending price is the bottom line. No sales tax, tag or licensure expense, doc fees etc. You get a signed title, pay your money and take it home . Easy clean deal for everyone. I hope this helps and I answered all the questions. This will make some lucky buyer a great bike for a long time. On Jul-31-15 at 19:11:48 PDT, seller added the following information: Hey Bidders; Please look at all the provided pictures . I am still getting emails about the included accessories that are in the last few pics. Those photos show the BMW side cases, BMW tank bag, BMW cam-bus type battery maintainer. All of these come with the bike as well as the pictured, gadgetguy.net mount, Garmin Zumo mount, radar detector mount, Autocom communications module, Garmin antenna for a satellite radio, etc. The bike is already hardwired via the cam-bus system for a Valentine one radar detector and a Garmin ZUMO gps, these devices are not included but the wiring is there. Hope this clears what is included in the bike deal. Again, retail on these included accessories is over $2200. Find another k12s with more equipment comparably priced-better buy it. Thanks.
