1956 Ford F-100 This 1956 Ford F-100 was purchased in 2003. The project was designed to keep the "old school" theme of the truck while still creating a street rod appearance and reliability. This truck has been in numerous car shows winning trophies and was recently voted " Car of the Month" for October 2014 on Cool Rides Online- sponsored by Sta-Bil Products. The truck was also voted to be in their calendar and is current the feature truck for October 2015. Here are some details on this truck Engine and Drive train This truck is Ford on Ford - A 289 Cu in. engine. The engine has approximately 20,000 miles on it. The heads and block are stock with the exception of the heads having screw in studs and a Jackson gear drive to regulate the timing. Aluminum intake manifold w/ 650 Holley double pump carb Mallory dual distributor with points remove and Pertronix ignition/ Mallory supercoil. Sanderson shorty headers Ceramic coated, 2.5" pipes to Flowmaster 40 mufflers C4 Automatic transmission with external oil cooler Quick Silver shifter Ford 9" with 3.0 gear ratio Wheels and Brakes Boyd Coddington Smoothie II front: 17X7 rear: 17X10 (5.5" lug pattern) 4 wheel disc brakes/ Corvette master cylinder Suspension Keeping with the old school theme, I kept the straight axle front end. A Mo-drop straight axle with 3" drop Front main springs are reverse eye. Rear springs were re-arched and hangers raised and basically stock with a 4" drop. Shock are stock. Gas tank was removed from the interior and Classic Performance 19 gallon aluminum custom tank was relocated under the bed Body The emblems were shaved, all new bed wood and stainless strips. Bumpers were pulled in and tucked. Paint is a Midnight Blue. Truck paint is 20 years old so there are paint inperfections in various areas Body is straight, rear tailgate has slight impression which can be seen if your trying to look for it. Rear fenders are 1.5" wider than stock, rear fenders and all body of truck is metal. This truck is a CA truck and has no rust! Interior I kept the interior with it's original look. It has the original bench seat, upholstery is excellent. New headliner with black suede and vinyl door panels. Carpeting is new. Stewart Warner gauges, power windows, original dash board and speedometer works. Interior still has the original heater unit, will work but need to be hooked up. There is too much to list here. This truck is joy to drive and definitely gets the thumbs up! I'm selling my truck to a good home because I have too many cars.
