1977 MG Midget in great shape I got this car from an elderly woman whose son bought it from the original owner in 2002 or 2003. The car only had 40,000 miles on it when he purchased it. He drove it for a while and went to fight for our County in Iraq during "Operation Iraqi Freedom". Sadly, the brave soldier did not make it home and the car was parked in his Mom's garage ever since. When I got it, I bled the clutch and the brake system, tuned it up and gave it the "once over" in our shop. I redid the brakes all around and also put a brand new set of tires on it as the old ones had great tread but were dry rotted. The car runs and drives great. I recently drove it to New Jersey (about a three hour trip both ways) and it performed flawlessly. The car has plenty of pep and is a blast to drive. All the lights and turn signals function properly and the car drives and stops straight. The gears shift very well. The paint is in excellent condition and there is not a speck of rust anywhere. The underside is as clean as the outside, no rust or rot. The chrome is all in great condition. The trunk is spotless. The car has a new (in 2003, but no miles) exhaust system that looks like it is stainless steel. The interior is in fantastic condition. The seats, door panels and carpet look great. The top emblem on the shift knob is missing. The horn does not work. The antenna is broken. The key had broken off in the ignition so I took the ignition switch out to try to get it fixed. I will have it fixed and reinstalled before the end of the auction. If you want to come and inspect the car, it will start with a screwdriver right now. The car is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early. I do not accept PayPal. Cash, wire transfer or bank check only. Payment is to be made within 7 days of auction end. I can store the car for you until you arrange a shipper (but not too long please). I will be available to assist your shipper in loading the vehicle.
