I recently had the car gone through replacing all the hydraulics from the rams to the master pump on the firewall. The seat now moves back and forth, the convertible top will go up and down the passenger window powers up and down.The drivers window works intermittently, the guy told me that the driver side switch will need to be rebuilt or replaced. Replaced the water pump and fuel pump, new spark plugs and new 6 Volt battery. Voltage regulator is new, had the generator benched tested and checked out great. The carburetor is rebuilt. All the lights, blinkers, brake lights, fog lights, both spot lights, dash, radio and clock lights work! The carpet on the driver side has a small wear hole in which I covered with a floor mat set that matches the carpet nicely. The body on the car is near perfect no rust, the trunk lid was decked before I got the car, who ever done the work did a fine job. The paint is ok, some imperfections in the paint as you can see by the pictures, few scrapes and small chips. All the glass is in nice condition. The convertible top is old but still useable meaning no holes, could clean up nicely with canvas cleaning treatment, the plastic window is clear to see out of. The seats are leather with no tears. The car runs really nice and quit, the transmission shifts good, at times will go into the next gear not as smooth as other times which I understand to be the nature of this transmission, no slippage. I haven't changed the transmission fluid. The tires are ply not radials. The chrome is nice, not perfect, there are some pitting in areas as you can see in the pictures, but all there. The car can be driven now or with some minor work can be a show quality car. You don't see this type of car on E-bay very often for under 70,000.00. Here you have a chance at buying a 1947 Cadillac Convertible for much less! There where only 6755 made in 1947. This is truly a nice car, I tried to mention all the problems, imperfections without trying to make the car seem less then it really is. The reason I am selling the car is I don't have the time or skill set required to make this a show quality car. Pictures 10 thru 16 show the imperfections, chips and scratches on the paint and chrome. Last two pictures where taken at a car show, the couple in the picture where about to get married and their photographer choose my car out of over 200 cars at the show to take pictures of them.
