Up for auction is my 98 second generation eclipse gsx, for those that don't know the gsx trim is the fully loaded turbo all wheel drive version of the eclipse. I purchased the car from the original owner which was an older gentleman that took exceptional care of this car. It spent 90% of its life in south dakota taking highway drives. When i bought the car i was very impressed with its condition and up keep with detailed notes in the car of its services. The engine had a complete oem overhaul 15k ogo along with all new belts. The manual transmission was just rebuilt (oem) 1k ago and shifts perfect. I recently bought the car and was going to build it up to a performance import but decided at the last min to build a muscle car instead so i decided to sell this one to help fund the other project. As far as its mechanical condition it has zero problems or issues. It starts right up, it doesn't tick, knock, or smoke at all. it shifts easy into all gears with no grinds, it doesn't leak any fluids, and their is no check engine or service lights on. All of the accessories work as they should including the stock infinity radio/cd player, power windows, power sunroof. mirrors & locks (oem keyless entry/alarm) and yes even ice cold air conditioning! For the younger buyers/bidders that are interested this is a 100% Stock dsm as you can see from the under hood pictures. This would make a great car to start a performance build on (as i was going to do) without having to sort through someone elses mistakes, or it is also a perfect turn key fun daily driver. Although there's no mechanical modifications it does have 3 cosmetic including the tinted windows, slightly larger 17" 3rd gen rims, and black/red stitch shifter knob. The only thing negative i have or can say about this car is a tiny bit a rust starting in the passenger rear wheel well, a tiny bit on the hatch if you look closely, and just a touch under the hood. The windshield has a crack at the bottom, and the speakers in the door don't sound the best. (Just being honsest about everything as i hate surprises) Other then that its a awesome fun car to drive.
