NO RESRVE! Please click the view all button to access many detailed pics. Larger screen viewing should be used for best results 1968 Barracuda 340 Formula S Fastback automatic console bucket seats, PROJECT car. Please realize it needs work, but is a valuable Plymouth Mopar Muscle Car when completed. Body, paint, engine. 727 trans and sure-grip rear in good condition. All Numbers matching, great interior, all original parts. Recored radiator, Moog front end steering &ball joints installed and aligned. Not running. Solid floors & trunk. Stock green wheels and vintage keystone klassics. Firestone Tires were installed 20 years ago and the tread is like new and holds air with no leaks. However, it is Firestone brand and the sidewalls have dryrotted, so 120mph at your own risk. I have the original hi po 340 exhaust manifolds, 727 trans, and drive shaft. I've owned it since 1978. I bought this car from Rob of the E.T. shop in Chicago when he was set up at Montclair Goodyear selling race parts on Grand Ave. It was originally from Wisconsin. It was my daily driver for years. Please look at the many photos. The interior is in very good original condition with AM thumbwheel radio. The only reason I stopped working on this car can be blamed on Harley Davidson which took over all my time. I am retired as a Journeyman Diesel Mechanic. I know how to turn a wrench. I've been a car guy since I could crawl under one at around 8 years old watching my Dad do I don't know what. I've owned mostly muscle cars of all sorts including an SS396/375HP 4spd 12 bolt Nicky Chevrolet 1970 Nova. Shoulda kept her. The majority have been Mopars such as 66 Charger 383 with power windows, 66 Coronet 500, 67 Fury II, 67 Barracuda, 68 340 Barracuda, 69 RoadRunner, 70 RoadRunner and 71 340 Duster from Mr Norm's used lot in 76. I still have the Duster 340 and saved a 71 340 R/T Challenger engine for it too. The Duster will also be sold if interested, please email. It is in far better condition than Barracuda because I stopped driving it in 1978. I added pics of house so you know where the car lives. The Road Runner is not for sale. The house is available. Come visit The Great Smoky Mountains National Park. email johnstjohn340 @ yahoo.com for specific questions and answers not covered herein. Attention Mopar folks! I am an honest seller that will make sure you get exactly what I'm showing/offering and any extras I can throw in. As long as I get payed what you bid, you can send your shipper. After the auction I need communication so we can work out the details. I do want to move this car in quick fashion. If you are not able to come the first weekend or earlier, you must make arrangements after auction close. A $500 incentive to perform deposit must be paid at auction close through paypal. However, if no money comes through, I will not be waiting around and non-paying bidder status will be sent to ebay. Very good project car, plus this is from the year 1968 when they stuffed in a 426 Hemi. The 340 in this car made it perform and handle quite well to the dismay of many Ford & Chevy owners who challenged it. I spent most of my life in Chicago and now we are in Tennessee where a lot less fun is allowed. Original Carter carb is rebuilt and stored indoors with the radiator. The heads, intake and water pump have been painted and stored indoor. Dual exhaust is complete to bumper with factory exhaust outlets. The car has been H/AC garage kept for at least 20 years. Driven to TN. in 2006. Less than 95,000 miles on entire car. All the glass is good with no chips or cracks. It is as shown in pics however some camera dates may be inaccurate. I have clean IL. title in my name & hand. VIN: BH29P8B180590 Engine complete carb to pan, apart for gaskets/seals. I would recommend a hone and re-ring while the heads are off. Stock bore 340. Put it together. Check over super simple brake system. Fiberglass the holes, bondo, prime, paint & drive. Do some old school bodywork to get it on the road and have some great smoky burnout, stop light to stop light fun! You don't have to do a high dollar rotisserie to enjoy a muscle car. 1968 340 Formula S Fastback auto console suregrip, factory exhaust tips. It is manual drum brakes and steering. It's only accessory is the alternator and waterpump. A real street fighter. It has the 150 speedo . 727 trans and 8 3/4 rear sure grip. The left and right front fenders need patch work. The right qtr will need a wheel opening patch. the left qtr needs a bit more and contains some bondo and dent puller work. However all the metal is original, no after market panels or parts except for air shocks in rear. Even the alternator is original. Car does not start or drive, but steers quite well. Shipping is the buyer's responsibility and the car needs to be picked up after auction end. Payment based on winning bid and due in cash in person at time of pick-up. No empty pockets please. No on-site negotiating, No excuses. No buyers remorse. No warranty. No money back guarantee. You bid, you win, you are legally bound to complete the purchase. Please only serious Buyers **** Bid with confidence 100% feedback. Don't be that person that screws up, bids with no money available and gives good ebayers a bad rap. Ask your money partner first. 1968 Barracuda 340 Formula S Fastback PROJECT car. Body, paint, engine. 727 trans and sure-grip rear in good condition. Tags in place.
