Vehicle Detail
1971 Torino GT Convertible 351 Cleveland Engine white exterior with Vermilion Interior and black convertible top. This car started its life out in Reno Nevada before finding its way to Temeculah California. I bought this very solid vehicle with the idea that I would take it to the next level and do a major restoration. This is a great candidate as it is a very solid western car. I simply have found that I do not have the time to devote to this project and have decided to sell the vehicle. This is a really great Driver that starts right up and drives very well. Everything is there but needs to be gone over. Although the car shows very respectably and gets a lot of head turns and compliments, it is in need of paint and TLC. The car is very straight and looks better in the photos but it needs to be painted. As stated earlier this is a great driver an good candidate for restoration. When I purchased the vehicle the seats were already reupholstered and carpet was new. The former owner redid the whole lower front end and the car drives straight. Brakes are relatively new. I had the transmission pan gasket replaced. I purchased a new rear view mirror; both the drivers door and passenger door trim panels and vermillion windlass trim that all go with the sale. There is a small rust repair on the passenger side floor panel but otherwise this car is california solid. From the original documentation that came with the vehicle, there are pictures of the car with a red convertible top that were in the glove box. Now for the stats on the car: Built 11/1970 at the Lorain Plant equipped with a 351 Cleveland 2V. 1971 Torino GT convertible. The body style/number is 76F. There were 3900 Plus built in 1970. There were only 1613 GT convertibles built in 1971. This model is the 1971 the second and final year of the Bill Shenk designed Torinos. The 1971 Torino GT convertible had the basic Torino Brougham trim plus color keyed outside racing mirrors(remote control on the left hand mirror)The GT identification is on the front grille and rocker panels, simulated hood scoop;chrome trim on the foot pedals; full width tail light and wide oval tires. I am selling this car with no reserve and would welcome and encourage a personal inspection of this vehicle. If there are any specific questions about the vehicle or if you would like to make an appointment to see the car, please ask a question on EBAY and I will respond This car is for sale locally and the seller reserves the right to end the auction early. On Jun-28-15 at 09:12:05 PDT, seller added the following information: I have added additional pictures and it prompts this message. The car has air conditioning but the compressor and brackets are not mounted. i have them but have not reinstalled. Also, the radiator is an all aluminum high cooling model. i have the original radiator and shroud. The gas tank was replaced by the former owner. The trunk is dirty but very solid
