Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a rust free 1971 VW Super Beetle. I bought this car several years while I was on vacation in Georgia. The owner said it was originally from southern California, he drove it to Georgia when he moved there. Being from Georgia and the age of the car it is not required to be titled in Georgia. He gave me a Georgia bill of sale with the car. I never transferred it once I bought it, because it needed to be finished. I had to list in the listing the title is clear, because they would not let me list it any other way. The things I have done to it since I owned it are the top of the engine has been rebuilt. New pistons, cylinders, and rebuilt heads. It has a new fuel pump, all new wires, cap and rotor. I had a VW guy help me with the rebuild and he said he could tell this car was from the south. He said it was so clean and rust free. He also stated the engine came apart so easy because the bolts were not all corroded like northern cars. Since I have owned the car has always been garaged and never left outside. The car needs the interior done, and wheels and tires. It also need's a better paint job. The one that is on it is a amateur paint job. To protect the body a friend applied a epoxy primer since the body was done to metal when I bought it. Then he painted a popular paint scheme just to give the body protection from rust. The front trunk area was also treated to epoxy primer and truck bed coating used to protect that area from ever rusting. There is a small hole in the floor pan behind the passenger seat. It was a perfect square, I do not know why? It was not rusted out? I did not want to cut out a floor pan that was pristine besides that hole. So I had a patch welded in. The car has a new battery also. I has bought brand new carpet underlayment, and I have many other parts that will come with the car. This would be a great car to finish and it is the first year for the Super Beetle. I do have a bill of sale like I mentioned earlier in the previous owners name. That is all Georgia requires to transfer a car of this age to its new owner. If you are local and want to see the car just send me a message. If you have any questions or need a pic of something just let me know. http://georgia.gov/popular-topic/selling-your-motor-vehicle
