Hello everyone! Having bought a car on eBay years ago myself I know honesty is highly valued so here it goes: I'm selling a beautiful, well-kept beige 2004 Ford Taurus SES Limited edition prior to moving out of California. It has less than 82400 miles and provides a smooth ride. I purchased the car from it's original owner in 2011 in CT who kept the car indoors and rarely used it. I have since also kept it in a covered garage and used it sparingly for random errands (I walk to work nowadays). The car is quite spacious and beautiful inside with leather seats, minimal wear. It has a spoiler and a soft brown cover top but it is NOT a convertible nor does it have a moon roof (just an elegant touch I guess, will make spotting your car way easier!). Everything works inside including the AC, speaker system, and CD player (there is no cassette player). I've been good with maintenance and have had several car parts replaced including wheel bearings, fan belt, AC compressor/receiver drier/recharge package replaced in 6/2014 (have receipts to prove it). Honest cons: -There are few minor scratches/dents on the outside as shown in pictures but no major ones. -I did file a minor accident in December 2014...and when I mean "minor" it was at 5 miles an hour and ended up in the scratch above the left rear wheel (no repairs needed, see photo). -When you turn on the car an alert for "low oil pressure" will pop up for 5 sec. I've taken the car to 4 different mechanics and no one has figured out why the alert comes out since they've checked the gauges which are fine and the alert goes away after a few seconds every time on its own. It doesn't seem to affect the car and does not interfere with the actual fuel gauge which shows the right amount of fuel left. -There is a blue stain on one of the rear passenger seats that won't come out (see photo).-One last thing: if you live in cold areas let the car warm up after you turn it on. Otherwise it might "squeal" for a few seconds while attempting to go in reverse (not forward for some reason). I've noticed this doesn't happen after the car has been running for a few minutes (aka if you're stopping at a store and turn the car back on to leave...the squeal doesn't occur). The car doesn't leak fuel or make any abnormal noises while you drive. On the contrary it is a smooth and quiet drive. Kelly Blue Book's approximate price for a similar car is ~$3900-$4293 and this is between "good/very good condition" which I believe the car is at (plus it does NOT take into account that my car is a limited edition with extras like the top cover). I also did a quick eBay search for Ford Taurus' 2002-2006 and was surprised that most are selling between $5000-9,000 at any dealer and all of these had mileage >90k (most >100-120k!) and were not even SES models. So I think it is more than fair to put the "Buy it Now" price at $4,100. You probably won't find a deal like this! I'm not trying to make a profit like dealers are...I just want a reasonable return. And I know that by putting all the "honest cons" I may be losing some bidders but I am I trying to be as transparent as possible so that if you purchase the car you won't have any doubts/surprises when you pick it up. Any car past 10 years of age will have it's kinks...you just have to know them and I've maintained/repaired the rest quite well. In my opinion I love this car but need to sell it because I won't need it after I move. ONLY SERIOUS BUYERS PLEASE! This is a 3 day auction because I need to move the following day.
