RELISTING DUE TO NON-PAYING BIDDER FOR THE SECOND TIME!! Up for auction with no reserve is a 1978 CJ-5. Clear IL Title. IF YOU DONT HAVE THE FUNDS PLEASE DONT BID! I have owned it since April of 2011. Body and frame are in great shape considering its age. See pictures! Jeep was only used during the summer months since we owned it. Its been a fun vehicle to own, definitely turns heads. What you see is what you get with the exception of the seats. I do have 2 front OEM seats and also 2 aftermarket seats that I was going to install on the jeep. New carpet was recently installed but needs finishing when the front seats are fastened properly. Jeep does come with an aftermarket back seat also but no OEM back seat. No doors, sorry. But it does have the bikini top. I only have one seat frame, sorry the individual that was going to install the aftermarket seats kept the other 2 frames. Jeep runs well and shifts fine, will be street worthy once seats are installed. Gauges need some work. Mileage is unknown. It has the desirable inline 6 engine! There is an oil leak. Haven't pin pointed the exactly location but it leaks by the bell housing so not sure if its a rear main seal or if its leaking from somewhere else. Recently added a new gas tank (see pictures), gas filler neck and hoses, battery, starter and put some new plugs and wires. Tires are also fairly new. We never used the 4 wheel drive since we have owned it so I couldn't tell you if its working properly. Selling because my Dad is the one that mostly drove it but he is looking to retire and unfortunately I am 6'1'' and 320lbs pounds and just don't fit comfortably on a CJ5 while driving it. PAYMENT: $750 Non-refundable deposit due within 48 hours of end of auction. Jeep must be picked up 14 days from end of auction. The remaining balance is due in cash when Jeep is picked up. For those out of state buyers, a direct bank to bank wire transfer when the vehicle is being picked up also works.
