Hello and thank you for looking at my auction.Up for sale is my 1984 300SD. It is being offered at NO RESERVE!! This car is a solid vehicle that I purchased around 2009 and used for road trips and a a daily driver until the beginning of 2013. I will try to describe its condition as completely as I can in this listing. I am selling this vehicle because I have over a dozen old Mercedes and I have recently been diagnosed with an illness limiting my ability to work on them. The car looks very nice in the photos but the paint is a bit weathered with small scratches on some parts. The factory aluminum hood is in fantastic condition. The front lights have been replaced with the European version which are much brighter at night. I also have the factory headlights and tail lights which will be included with the car. During the time I drove it I put almost 30k miles on it and it never once let me down. The engine has a brand new injection pump which if you know these cars is not a cheap part to replace. The wheels are the nicest set of polished alloy wheels I have seen in a long time on one of these cars. Again, they are not chromed, but polished. The tires are a set of matching Bridgestone tires with lots of tread left. The front windshield has a crack low out of the drivers field of vision but should be replaced. The rest of the glass is in great shape. The windows all worked as of 2013. The jack points are solid. The upper control arms/ball joints are new OEM and were replaced around 2010. The interior is in nice shape, the dash has only one or two cracks. The drivers seat has a portion of the leather torn on one of the bolsters but the seat springs are in great shape. The push button climate control unit is new and was replaced in 2012. All gauges work. The air conditioning was ice cold when the car was last driven in 2013 with good heat as well. The vacuum pods that open and close the vents in the dash worked well also. The stereo is aftermarket and was replaced before I bought the vehicle but it works well, as does the power antenna. The power seat adjustments worked well too. The sunroof works. The brake system is good and a new pair of rotors will be included with the car though the ones on the car are still in good shape. The engine oil, transmission fluid and filter, fuel filters, and differential oil were all changed/replaced in 2011. The glow plugs are all new as is the glow plug relay and fuse. Currently there is no battery in the car and it has not been started since early 2013. This is a big comfortable safe sedan that could be brought back to daily driver status for very little money/labor. The engine turns freely via the crankshaft bolt. It needs;BatteryExhaust work (has incorrect muffler and is missing center resonators/mufflers)Old fuel to be drained and replaced (has been treated with stabil for diesel fuel each year)New front windshield This car was garaged until the last two months when I put it outside because I ran out of space in my workshop. I have included this because I am trying to describe the car as honestly as I can. The price is low considering the value of all the parts alone. The car will have to be towed/shipped to its final location and the buyer is responsible for arranging and payment of shipping. I will help as best as I can. The car. Old also be parted out for. Profit at the price I am offering it at, or serve as a donor for another 300SD but is really nice and I hope the buyer will put it back on the road as I always enjoyed driving it. Right now I am dealing with my illness and have too many other projects to work on to devote the time needed to this particular car, I am also out of space in my workshop.
