1983 (nee Studebaker) AVANTI II Sports Coupe 1983 Avanti sports coupe with GM small block V8 engine and Edelbrock Carb. The odometer reads 78,843 miles. The engine is a replacement/rebuilt with newer radiator and electric fans; newer exhaust and low miles on new tires. The car has not been driven extensively in years…mostly stored. Driven mostly to local car shows since I bought the car in 2007. However with some work it is certainly runnable as a daily driver. It needs systems to be gone through before major driving as well as battery, tune up and coolant flush. It is currently licensed, registered and insured and recently made the 50 mile trip from Hartford to the New Haven area on Mother’s Day. Features: Two Tone Tan/White leather interior Sunroof AM/FM stereo with cassette Power windows, door locks and trunk release Seven gauges of instrumentation (presently working) THERE IS NO A/C which was removed before I bought the car Cosmetically the car is in decent daily driver condition. The exterior has some paint issues and the sun roof recently stopped working. There is some rust on the wheels and minor rust on the bumpers. Back seat and vent windows are artistically etched. On the interior there is typical wear and tear for a 30 year old car. THIS IS NOT A PERFECT CAR SO PLEASE LOOK AT THE PICTURES AND ASK ANY QUESTIONS. It is available for inspection if you want to make the trip to CT. That said…while this is not a perfect car it is a head turner and certainly good enough to make someone happy… as it did me.
