1985 Toyota MR2 5 Speed Manual 2 Door Sports Car I am looking to sell my very clean and original 1985 Toyota MR2 with the 1.6L 4-Cylinder Engine and 5 Speed Manual Transmission. This Vehicle currently has 111,720 Miles and will continue to go up as I drive it pretty regularly. This car was previously owned by a 67 year old man who garage kept this car since 1991. I believe it was owned by one person prior to him. This classic sports car car is in great running condition and sparks a lot of conversations at the gas station due to its condition. The vehicle runs straight and smooth on the road. Brakes are in good working condition also. Vehicle does not burn oil or leak any fluid. The transmission shifts smooth with no grinds or pop outs. The clutch, which I believe is the original, grabs good with no slippage. The body on this vehicle is in great condition for its age but does have a few imperfections as noted in the photographs. There is a small amount of rust near both rear mudflaps and also the common spot on the drivers door jam. The vehicle has brand new wiper blades and two BRAND NEW rear tires. The vehicle is all stock besides a drop in K and N air filter, TRD header,and a Monza Pacesetter exhaust system. I do have all the original exhaust pieces if winning bidder desires them. The previous owner had the timing belt replaced at 65,000 miles. The Air condition and heat in the vehicle work great. Cruise control works great. Interior is in immaculate condition. The vehicle has an older Jensen head unit installed with CD player. Issues There is a slight rattle in the front suspension when you go over a large bump. It may be the sway bar end links or ball joints. I haven't looked into it yet since it doesn't bother me. The passenger window does not go down all the way (very common on MR2). On May-10-15 at 16:53:11 PDT, seller added the following information: I recently took this vehicle on a 300 mile trip this past weekend. I have found out the following two things: - The windshield washer fluid squirters currently are not working. I have yet to troubleshoot but possibly could be a clog in the line. - Also it appears as if one of the front brake rotors may be SLIGHTLY warped/worn. When braking at 70 mph you will feel a slight wobble translated to the steering wheel. I also replaced the clutch pedal rubber foot pad. I got 28 mpg on the trip I took. Cruise control works great.
