*Note – I previously had this listed at a lower starting bid due to it being a must sell due to financial constraints. However my father and I agreed to a trade offer that cleared up my financial issues and I removed this from the market. However after further discussion with him, we have decided to leave it on the market at a starting bid closer to its market value (NADA on it is over $18k). I decided to run it on Ebay a final time while I had so many watchers (never had nearly that many watchers on any car) before leaving it up only on other free non auction sites. This is the ultra rare 3000GT VR4 Spyder, with a retractable hard top convertible, only 877 were produced, and who knows how many are now left intact, let alone in this condition. Absolute legend, stunning the industry with an amazing combination of features back in 95, and still holds its own with modern cars with features such as AWD, twin turbo, all wheel steering, adjustable suspension (which really has a distinct difference between touring and sport), 6 disc CD changer, leather seats, and of course the ahead of its time power hardtop. When brand new it stickered for $65k+, more than a Viper at the time, and nearly as much as an NSX. If more people knew about this car it would be worth far more. Such as if this had been featured in 2Fast2Furious instead of the Eclipse it may very well be a $20-25k car now. While the paint looks new and amazing, the paint job isn't show quality due to too much overspray, I am sure it could be corrected, but it has never bothered me enough to investigate. -I have a book showing a lot of the history of this car, and it is impressive. Additionally recent owners confirmed timing belt (twice, as the 2nd guy had a different brand preference) and water pump within the last 10k miles. -Clean history with no accident records, repaint was due to clear coat issues. -Outside of drop in K&N air filter, upgraded speakers and Diamante amp upgrade (very helpful) it is currently completely stock. -Ordered proper “VR4” and “Spyder” emblems for the back, these aren't pictured, but are now there. -I sold the stock wheels and tires, as a guy made an offer I couldn’t refuse, I wasn’t a fan of that look, and I thought I would be keeping this car forever. I was able to get a set of wheels and tires to fit that I had from my S2k that I kept after selling that car. Everybody has a different taste in wheels and tires, so I am pricing this car with a set of oem 3000GT rims from a 98 3000GT SL. The tires are adequate with some tread left, but the chrome is peeling on the wheels. Really these are just a placeholder until you find a set of your own. Base wheels don't appear in any photos. The aftermarket wheels (thin 5 spoke) pictured in 2 photos in this ad are still available, but would need to be purchased seperately by the high bidder.
