My grandfather bought this 912 in Colorado in the 80s and brought it back to Indiana. It was driven for about 2 years and then stored in a basement garage. He had it repainted, and it is not the best. It was one of six 912s that he had owned. He passed away in 2013. I bought it from him in 2003 and started driving it until 2006 when home from college. Since then it has been back in storage. It is stubborn to start due to the inactivity, but appears to still have everything working. It is a good complete car with original interior needing some TLC. The whaletail was added from one of his other 912s sometime in the distant past. Original chrome wheels shine up very well. The solex carbs were replaced with webers. The Pan is strong. I found some slight bubbling at the back of the rocker on the passenger side. These I have lost my storage.
