This is a very clean, two owner Eurovan Camper with ALL service records in my possession. The former owner and I have been very meticulous about keeping this van in excellent running condition, see history of recent service at the end of this description. Reason for selling: I have a 120 mile round trip commute and this is not what this vehicle was built to do... My wife and I bought the van from the original owner -who camped in it once during its first 76K miles- and then prepped it for a trip to Alaska. We enjoyed camping and driving this vehicle across America and have enjoyed traveling in it since then. It's always been reliable and has never let us down, except for one flat tire. It's never been smoked in and is very clean inside and out. Since I have owned it,,, I've examined all the belts and hoses to ensure reliability, changed to synthetic oil changes every 5K miles, replaced the timing chain(s), upgraded the tires and wheels to 16" Audi rims and Michelin T98 tires and changed the transmission fluid every 20-30K miles. **Included in this sale: three custom, insulated solar shades for the three front windows, a phone holder, a shower tent for the rear lift door, an awning and a rubber floor mat for the main floor** Caveat Emptor: this is a EIGHTEEN year old vehicle with 116K miles on it, it's not perfect. I'm the owner, not a VW dealership, and have done my best to ensure the vehicle is in excellent running condition for the next owner. If you want to buy a $40K Eurovan with a FULL warranty, there's a company in California -rhymes with 'show besty'- that will sell you one. Mine is listed with a reserve of $16K, if you wish to purchase the vehicle it is for sale in Wichita, KS. You can fly into Wichita Mid Continent Airport (ICT) and I'll pick you up in the van, then you can drive it home. The air conditioning blows ice cold, power locks, camping equipment, curtains, power windows and airbags all work perfectly. Any known issues are listed below The bad: there's some surface rust (see pictures) around the front fenders and above the sliding side door. The vehicle spent part of it's life in PA and was driven in some winter conditions. The check engine light is on and the code is PO400: EGR flow malfunction. I've just lived with it because it's not affecting the vehicles operation. The cruise control does not work. It didn't work when I purchased it from the original owner and he claimed never to have used it. This is a common problem with the older VW's and can be fixed if you want to buy another cruise control module from VW. There is a 8" repaired/sewn rip in the bug screen that functions perfectly, but is cosmetically unpleasant... Given these known defects I have listed this vehicle with a $16,000 reserve price. I've seen VW Eurovan Campers sell for more on eBay and I think this is a very, very fair price for this age and mileage. No Accidents. Free and clear Pennsylvania title in hand.
