I am selling an original 1960 Pontiac Catalina 2dr.Automatic.It has a 389 Cu In V-8 engine with 2bbl Carb.Car was in storage for years and has an original 50,604 miles on it.Car has sat out for the last few years.Car was a 1 owner car purchased new in 1959. Car will need total restoration!! Car may also be used as a parts car as well.I do have the original bill of sale from the date the car was purchased and a clean PA title in my name.Frame under car is in very nice shape but body need a complete makeover!! Glass is all intact and clear.Pass side glass cracked.Trim on car is hurting as well,alot of bends and scrapes!! Engine is a 8 Cylinder automatic on the column.Engine turns free by hand but have not tried to start it yet!!Floor boards are in very rough shape,along with interior.Checked the Vin# that was in the door jamb of the driverside door. Vin tag reads (160W3959).I also checked this on the front of the block of the engine and it also has the same Vin#s on the engine block. Checked body code tag as well.Body tag reads as follows,(Style-60),(Body 8W),(379),(Trim 207),may be a digit off on the "7",and (Paint FC)I also found another set of #s on the engine block today on the right front side of the engine above the one previously mentioned.These block part #s are located on passanger side font of the motor,by the water pump stamped into the block below the head.The part #s are (063878) and (A1).This is the original motor for the car.The body tag reads as follows on the car--- On the cowl tag it is actually BODY BW 379 which refers to the Fisher Wilmington Delaware Plant where the body panels were welded together and the 379th production unit. The VIN tag 160W3959 indicates 1=Catalina, 60= 1960, W= assembled at the Pontiac Wilmington Assembly Plant and is the 3959th Catalina unit.
