1985 Honda ATC 200X

It seems that there's a fair amount of interest on this bad boy, so here are some particulars: I picked this 200x up around April of last year. I really have not ridden it much at all, probably less than 5 hours total. It runs fast and straight and has a DG exhaust which gives it a good sound and a little extra hop. Everything seems to work, including the light. No parking brake assembly though. Lower gears are a little more choppy than I remember from the one I owned new back in 1985, but at this point this bike is 30 years old and is not without the evidence of that in the transmission and the engine and the suspension. All function properly and I was actually pleasantly surprised with how well it did run as I was expecting worse. I took it to the Honda shop due to some hard starting (see below) and the tech wanted to buy it from me then based on how it rode for him, but at that point I had owned it for about a week and didn't think I would wind up actually using it as little as I did. The carb and the fuel system, gas tank included would really benefit from a thorough cleaning and the gas seems to "lacquer up" in the carb if the fuel is not shut off when sitting in the shed. This makes it tough to start some times, but once I got that ironed out and added some sta-bil to the fuel, it seemed to be much easier to start and even a little smoother-riding and responsive. I really never took it on any kind of a long, punishing ride like I did with the one I had back in 1985 so I can't really speak to it's durability or toughness after several hours in use. This thing was a lot of fun for me, but I feel like it needs someone that knows what they're looking at and can spend some time on the "details" to get this thing to be a top notch rider, and then actually ride it. I'm selling it as I need something that I can get some work AND play out of and this thing is strictly play...no trailer hitch or plow for this thing.
