I bought his 1974 standard bug to restore with my son but we do not have enough time! My loss is your gain! We found this Southern California bug(Originally sold in El Monte, CA) with almost all original parts(about 95%) including engine, seats, complete with original sales receipt, paint, license plate frame and all records. Original 69,000 miles on the original engine. Even the door ajar alarm works. Seats are in good condition. Previous owner kept in garage through all these years! This car runs "very good" and can be used for daily driver. We changed all 5 tires as well. There are two rust spots next to rear windshield. Please see photos.
