Vehicle Detail

ONLY SERIOUS BIDDING OR BUYING PLEASE. NO REFUNDS ACCEPTED. Great vehicle that needs a new fuel pump and moderate amount of maintenance to give it a longer life. Overall a wonderful car, with over 200 ft-lbs torque at a low 1800 rpm and almost 200 hp and excellent gas mileage 18/28 (city/hwy). Condition: Vehicle is running, but needs a new fuel pump installed immediately. Buyer will need to have vehicle towed off the lot or shipped to a repair facility to install the fuel pump. Other known issues include: - Sun roof does not always close by itself. The motor works, but there is a piece of metal in the track that you sometimes have to hold down to get it to close - The turbo seems to be slowly loosing its life. I say this because the car doesn't accelerate the way it used to and acceleration is sometimes (not always, maybe 40% of the time) jumpy when its cold outside. Maybe this has something to do with the fuel pump, I have no clue, but just feel like the car doesn't have the power it used to. - Replaced the water pump recently and seems to be working well now, but the engine temperature gauge does not always rise above cold during winter driving. My mechanic has worked on the issue three times, and has replaced a temperature sensor, water pump, hoses, and an electrical relay. This seemed to fix the problem for about six months, but the temperature started to not rise above cold during this last winter. No clue if this is because of the temp sensor being incorrect, water flow being too much, or something else. - The wiper blade motor has a broken housing, causing the wipers to not correctly move across the windshield. I've been using the wipers in this manner for over five months, but wanted to get it fixed. My mechanic quoted me almost $1000 to replace the wiper motor and wiper motor transmission. No way was I going to pay that much, so the problem lingers. - The hood needs new hood struts, it doesn't stay open by itself. I usually just use a broom or something, so didn't care. - There is a slight tapping noise on the top of the engine while the car is running. My mechanic told me it has something to do with the cylinder (or something that connects to it) touching the top of the cylinder head while it's moving. He said that is wasn't a big deal, so I haven't worried about it. I've probably driven the car with this issue for over 20,000 miles, and it hasn't gotten worse or caused any issues that I'm aware of. Those are all of the known issues for the vehicle, other than cosmetic scratches, normal wear and tear, and wearing of the leather seats. All lights work, the radio works fine. I installed an aftermarket cd player with touchscreen (about $400 new in 2012) that I'm leaving in the car. I don't have the OEM radio. I also recently replaced the back hatch struts, so the back hatch opens like a champ. To be completely honest, I think this Saab would be great for those willing to make it a hobby to tinker with it every now and then, but that is to be almost assumed with the mileage. I will say that this has got to be the absolute best road trip car I have every owned. It got over 30 mpg on the hwy easily, even with AKI 89, and the ride was always smooth and acceleration at hwy speed was more than adequate. Also, I recently (less than 10,000 miles ago) replaced all four tires, so their tread is very good. Features: The vehicle is basically loaded. Power everything, heated seats, leather seats and trim, sunroof, turbo, etc. If you have any questions about features just let me know and I'll be sure to answer quickly. History: I am not the original owner, this vehicle was purchased used about four years ago (I'm the third owner). Shipping and payment: Prefer certified cashiers check or cash in-person, and buyer's responsible for arranging shipping or scheduling pick-up on location with me after the sale.
