Vehicle Detail
1986 Chevrolet Suburban If you like square body Suburbans than they just don't get much better than this one! Less than 40,000 original miles with every option available for 1986. The Interior Saddle Tan Custom Cloth, front bucket seats with armrests inside and out of both front seats, center console is in perfect shape, The cloth on all the seats is 100% perfect, immaculate condition. The carpet is also 100% in the front and middle rows. behind the 3rd row under the husky liner it has a spot that isn't perfect. The vinyl on the back of the 3rd row also has scuffs and I wouldn't call it perfect. The front and middle rows have GM rubber floor mats that are very nice, the 3rd row and rear has a husky liner from a later model suv that I cut in half to use as the 3rd row floor mat and the rear cargo mat. All the power windows and locks work from every position. The windows have the factory GM deep tinted glass as shown on the build sheet sticker. The Air Conditioner blows ice cold and has been updated with the 134 coolant. The heat is hot and all the heat/cool controls work as they should. The dash has a crack to the right of the middle speaker (just appeared in the last week!!!.. not happy about that!!) All the glass is free from cracks. The factory electronic stereo works and sounds decent, but the numbers sometimes aren't readable. The spare tire is original and has seen very little use, and in good condition. The headliner is saggy in spots and in my mind is the only thing that really needs replaced on this entire truck. The Exterior Copper Canyon two tone with Cream center. The body on this Suburban is just like it came off the showroom floor. The chrome on the bumpers are perfect, bright, shiny, and straight as new. The hood has a stone guard to keep the rock chips off (I personally hate these, but it has served a good purpose so I kept it on) The running boards are custom, made at Clackamas custom running boards right here in Oregon, they are fiberglass and covered with vinyl. At some point the previous original owner had the roof re-painted, so it doesn't show any fading or weather at all. All the paint is very nice, it has a small spot under the passenger back barn door window that shows some fading, you probably wouldn't notice unless I point it out. All the doors close tightly just like a 39,000 mile car should. The towing mirrors were added on when it was new, you could get some smaller mirrors and mount them to the factory holes to cover the break in the door trim. The Engine and Drivetrain Loads of power from the Big Block 454, it runs like new, 1986 was the last year for the carburetor. Under the hood looks like 1986, the insulation on the bottom of the hood is perfect, all hoses and belts are in great shape and factory GM Delco parts. The only thing not GM is the battery, new last year from Wal-Mart or Costco for easy warranty replacement almost anywhere. It has a TH 400 Automatic transmission that shifts smooth and solid, just like it should. It has the larger 40 gallon gas tank, 3.73 rear end gears, HD front stabilizer, No leaks at all!!!! It now has the factory wheels with new tires on it. The wheels and tires in some of the pics are custom Vision 19.5" heavy hauler Aluminum with 225/70-19.5 Ohtsu all steel RX128 ribbed radials, these are 14 ply and Heavy Duty! They have less than 2500 miles on them. This was a $2500 set of wheels and tires. If you want them, you will need to add another $1500 to the winning bid. It has the HD 10,000 lb factory hitch and electric brake controller installed under the dash. Money$ I'm going to list auction style with a reserve, bid high and bid often... or better yet call me and lets make a deal. You won't find another one like this in this shape! Bid to own, fly in and drive it home, I might even consider driving it to you and you could fly me home if the deal was right. Call or text if you are serious and have questions.
