This auction is for a 1968 Camaro rs convertible that is all matching numbers. This car is very unique with some rare options. Car is equipped with EE code 327/275HP, powerglide auto transmission, power steering, power drum brakes,with deluxe interior. I just acquired this car from a fellow who had car for several years stored in his garage. He was going to restore it but has decided to go in different direction so I bought car. I have checked numbers on engine and it has matching serial number stamped on front of block. As you can see in pictures this car needs to be restored but is as solid as you will find. The only sign of any rust issue is bottom lower quarter panels on both sides very slite. This car still retains all original body panels (doors, fenders, quarter panels, trunk lid, and hood) and has never had a spoiler. I have taken old carpet out and taken several pictures so you can see just how nice this car is. The car has been painted one time, red in lacquer and is cracking, the original color was paint code P sea frost green as you can see on the doors. I have the original deluxe door panels but they will need to be replaced. The original steering wheel has been changed at some point with a Grant locking wheel. The car runs very good and is in driving condition but needs brakes checked pedal is low to floor. All lights, blinkers are in good working condition and yes headlights open and close very fast. On Feb-26-15 at 08:52:32 PST, seller added the following information: I have a lot of interest in car and have added 8 more pictures of drivers door, underneath rockers and fender to show how nice this body is. Also added front end shot with lights open and closed. Have been asked if console is bolted in or just sitting in car, it is still bolted in along with seats and car is completely road worthy and in driving condition. I have also been asked reserve and if car is for sale locally, reserve is set at fair value for this condition of car and I am letting car run till the end of auction unless someone offers me a crazy price.
