Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 If you are interested in just the motorcycle listed here, scroll down four paragraphs. If you want to know why Automania is selling four brand new Triumph Motorcycles, read on. Hansen’s BMW Triumph Ducati has been a Triumph dealer for 20 years. To my knowledge, they have never had a customer complain how they represented the Triumph line, inventory, service or parts availability to Triumph USA. In fact, odds are they have the highest positive feedback of almost any dealer in the country. 20 years. On February 16, 2015, Triumph USA terminated their Dealer Franchise Agreement with Hansen’s, giving them 60 days to dispose of their current inventory through retail sales. Any bikes still in their possession after that date will be registered by Triumph and they will not be considered as new bikes. The bikes that are now floored with Triumph (which they do with all dealers) will need to be paid for (just pull that chunk of change out of your pocket) as they will not accept the bikes back that were delivered to Hansen’s before January 1, 2015. The reason behind this is that according to the terms of Franchise agreement, Hansen’s does not have the stand alone required floor space for Triumph Motorcycles. Not that Hansen’s has done a poor job representing the brand, but that they do not have enough room to stock 17 new Triumph motorcycles on their show room floor along side the BMW and Ducatis they also sell. The thinking is that if more bikes were being displayed, more bikes would be sold. Almost sounds reasonable. But it isn’t. The reason more Triumph Motorcycles are not being sold is that they are not competitive model to model with other brands. There is no demand for bikes that fall short on performance and features compared to other makes. It is not that they are not being displayed, it is because they cannot stand toe to toe with other bikes. How many Rocket III’s does anyone want? Anyone ridden one? The Trophy is a good bike, but not stacked up against a BMW R1200RT. But it is the dealers fault that they are sitting on 2 year old bikes in crates and do not want to stock motorcycles they know will not sell. And who is going to suffer the most from this inverted thinking? The Triumph customers who will have to travel either to Portland Oregon or San Francisco, California for any warranty, recall campaigns or regular service. We have been asked to liquidate the balance of Hansen’s new bike inventory. These bikes will be delivered and sold as new by Hansen’s with full factory warranty until their franchise is terminated April 15, 2015. This is a great chance to own what I think at the best models of Triumphs offered currently at fire sale prices. No, there will not be any Rocket III’s offered. I have lusted after the is bike since it came out last year with the Ohlins and Brembo brakes. Truth be know, I am too “stout” to fit comfortably on it. I am sure I can manage, but it would look like a monkey on a football if you get my drift. But the bike represents all things good for sportbike. It is small, minimal reciprocating masses in the engine and wheels and puts out great power from the triple 675 engine. They upgraded the suspension and brakes and then for 2014 did a whole redesign on the frame and exhaust system. I cheated and pulled this off the net, but it really does describe the bike to a tee. If you are looking for the most fun you can have at the track with your leathers on, look no further! The R version of the Triumph Daytona 675 was specially developed for the track. The bike features a pretty aggressive character and is equipped with technologies developed using the experience gained by Triumph on the race track. The motorcycle’s backbone is represented by a new frame with revised geometry which is paired with a new rigid aluminum swingarm. The Triumph Daytona 675R is also fitted with Öhlins suspensions, Brembo brakes, a quickshifter and a 4.6us Gallon fuel tank. The motorcycle weighs 405#’s (wet) and is built around a 675cc, liquid-cooled, 12 valve, DOHC, in-line 3-cylinder engine which delivers a maximum output of 128HP at 12500 rpm and 74#’s torque at 11900 rpm. The unit is mated to a six speed close ratio transmission which returns a fuel consumption of 68.36mpg. The bike is being sold as new with no miles showing. It comes with full factory warranty. A $1000 deposit must be made within two days of the end of the sale through Paypal or other means of collected funds.
