Vehicle Detail
1945 Ford 1 1/2 or 2 ton truck. Cab and chassis, no bed. Equipped with original 239 flathead V8 engine, manual transmission, and 2 speed rear axle. Drivetrain is complete minus radiator and air cleaner housing. Fan blades and radiator shroud is off but included with the sale as is both steel headlight rings. Great rat rod material (has really cool lines) or restore it to originality. Has descent tires that are old but hold air and aren't bald. Rolls and steers very well. Interior looks complete down to the ignition key still in it! Seat frame is solid and gas tank appears solid although I can't see the bottom of it. I have a current clear Missouri title in my name ready to sign over to the new owner. Cab is solid but has the usual rust in the rear lower cab corners and will need a new floor. Doors are very solid; passenger door has one rust spot on the hinge side near the bottom as shown in one of the photos. Fenders are solid and running boards are as well except for one rust area on driver's side board. Rear frame was shortened sometime in the past but is solid and not rotted out. Was used as a wrecker sometime in the past and has cool old decals on the doors that would look awesome on a rat rod if you kept the original patina! Makeshift wrecker arms were removed but PTO items will go with the truck if buyer wants them. Had a homemade bumper in the front that was junky and removed...use your imagination and weld up your own. Hood is solid but has a warp/dent in the middle that should come out easy but would probably need some braces applied to the underside to keep it straight. Was previously owned for many years by an old farmer who used it around his place. He last had it running 4 or 5 years ago but has not been since. Condition of the engine unknown but it's all there and would be a great engine to build for a rat rod. Rare old truck especially the year being the last year of WW2. Not many vehicles made that year period. Buyer responsible for all shipping costs, but I will help load onto your trailer or assist a shipper. Vehicle sold as is where is What you see in the pics is what you will get. If you have any questions feel free to ask. Thanks
