Not long afterward he established Hennessey Performance Engineering. In 1993 he prepared a Dodge Viper for the first time, for a private customer. The Viper began a winning streak that attracted the attention of other Viper racers, who began beating a path to his door. The sheer volume convinced Hennessey to specialize in Dodge’s sporting muscle car, and Hennessey Performance Engineering was born. One of the first dedicated packages of Hennessey modifications was the Venom 550, one of which is presented here. One of a mere handful of 1995 versions built, it was modified with Hennessey Venom cylinder heads prepared with a three-angle valve job, ported and polished intake and exhaust ports and combustion chambers. These were matched to a ported and polished intake manifold. Combined with 10.0:1 compression and a Hennessey Motorsports roller camshaft, the Venom 550 is capable of dashing to 60 MPH in just 3.5 seconds and a quarter-mile time of 11.3 seconds. As if all that performance was not enough, this Hennessey 550 is also branded with valve covers, badging and floor mats bearing the Venom 550 logo. Driven just 23,237 miles, the car has never been raced or tracked. It is documented with the original window sticker, service records. You are looking at a truly extraordinary Viper. This is the best sounding Viper that I have ever heard. This car will put a smile on your face each time you start it. It is extremely reliable as well and is very predictable. This Super-car is one not to be missed. Serious buyers may call me at 919-367-9002. Feel free to make an offer on this amazing car. This will be a great investment and the price is sure to increase as did the original Cobras did. This auction is a binding agreement to buy this car. The car is being sold in “AS-IS” with no warranties or guarantees stated or implied. Inspections are encouraged on the this vehicle, but must be done prior to the auctions end time. Once the auction is over, no inspections will be allowed as the high bidder will be the new owner. Good Luck bidding as this is a very rare and very special vehicle.
