Up for sale is my 1997 Ford F-150 XLT that came equipped with the 5.4L Triton V8, 4 speed automatic transmission w/overdrive, and tow package. Unfortunately, I was recently involved in an accident and was determined "at fault." After receiving an estimate for the repairs, I determined I do not have the necessary funds available to repair the truck and have decided to sell the vehicle "AS IS." The truck is not driveable due to suspension damage and slightly bent front frame rail. The truck was in very good condition prior to the accident and I am confident the truck would have continued to serve me for a number of years to come. I am the second owner of the truck which I purchased from a family friend. I purchased the truck five years ago with 65,000 miles and I can attest to the superb maintenance of the vehicle. All fluids were changed regularly at or before recommended intervals using synthetic fluids when applicable. The drivetrain pulled great and shifted flawlessly. The tires are Michelin LTX M/S 2 [255 70 / 16] and have roughly 80% tread remaining as they were replaced 10,000 miles ago. The interior is exceptionally clean with seats and dash showing no wear. There are a few stains on the carpet but a thorough shampoo would remove them; I usually did this once a year. The truck was mostly garaged kept and the exterior was always washed and waxed regularly. The only modifications on the vehicle are an aftermarket stereo and speakers that I installed several years ago for the purpose of utilizing my iPod. Prior to the accident, I would not have hesitated to drive the truck across the country. I am very disappointed to have to part with the vehicle. Considering the history of the vehicle and the manner in which it was maintained, I am supremely confident it has another 200,000 miles on the drivetrain and was worth $4,500-5,500 in resale value.
