Vehicle Detail
Back for your consideration is the Beautiful 1972 Triumph. It is a single owner car and the current owner has years of paperwork that goes with it. Along with this auction is some added photos and some new items that will go with the car. We continue to find boxes of things stored here and there that the previous owner stored / stashed away. The buyer will get ALL of it...and if the widow lady finds anymore after the auction it will be mailed to the new owner. Her husband bought this brand new back during his college days1972 while they were dating. Grab a cup of coffee because this will take a while....This car rolled of the line in March of 1972 and young Patrick bought this from University Motors in Blacksberg VA. on May 1st of that same year. The original pink slip will also go with the car when sold. This man was well educated and quite meticulous when it came to his car. He held a PHD in Physics and was an aircraft builder and pilot. He kept records for everything and logs for all his equipment including the TR6. This car has never been left to the elements and has the same engine and transmission it had out of the factory. It has a great interior and is in need of slight seat repair only. This car was left in a tomb like state in his garage for six years after his passing. His wife started it a few times a year and drove it around the block per his instructions. The carpet in the trunk is perfect and all the metal seems under the car are perfect as well. It has never been wrecked or left to rust. This is a once in a lifetime car. I urged her to keep this car when I first saw it and after careful consideration her daughter decided she cannot give it the love and attention her father would have wanted so she asked me to find a good home for it and for a modest price so she could continue her studies. I will post more information as time goes on and the bids start to roll in. I am confident someone will take this car home and love it the way Patrick did for all those years. You can also go to my FB page and see more pics mgtradingpostmga. On Dec-10-14 at 03:04:08 PST, seller added the following information: Note: The day we took it out for the fall photo shoot I remember first getting into the TR6.It was like setting down in an old first baseman's leather mitt. This car just hugged my body and would not let go until I took her for a ride.It was a beautiful fall day the yellow and red leaves twirled behind the car as I made my way through the river valley.Sunlight on chrome the blurr of the landscape...It is a shame I have to put her away and sell this fine automobile.I have spent most of my years restoring buying and selling MGA's and I never gave the Triumph it's due respect....until that day. On Dec-14-14 at 07:42:40 PST, seller added the following information: Greetings....Just a quick update on the TR6.ALL the parts pieces such as Bearings brake lines sparkplugs and top bows hard top...tannaue cover trunk gear. Will NOT be sold separately. We are not interested in doing that. The widow lady would like to pack EVERYTHING with the car and she wants to move on with her life. If you would like to see more photo's you can go to Craig's list and see the car there or you can go to my Facebook page mgtradingpostmga....Or you can go to my personal FB page Gabriel Gallegos, and see more photos of the rust free undercarriage and trunk...door sills and what not's. Thanks and Happy bidding... The response we got was great for this last listing, but a lot of folks with low EBay transactions numbers tend to scare the serious bidders off. So in this auction we will only be accepting bidders with transaction numbers 10 or higher. Also I put the car up on the lift and did some deep digging and found out of the entire car there was only one small patch panel done and that was on the passenger side on the floorboard and this car is still as previously described....RUST FREE! I heard this saying along time ago working with MGA's "Buy the best British car that you can afford...Because you cant afford a cheap one." Good luck and happy bidding.
