Vehicle Detail

1956 Lincoln Continental Mark II. I am offering due to health reasons. The Mark II was Lincolns entry in the ultra high price field in 1956. All Mark II's were "hand built" by Lincoln and aimed at the very highest of the price field. Only about 2000 total were built making these as some of the most sought-after of all collector cars. This car was purchased from an estate and was scheduled to be restored, but I will not be able to do now. The condition of the car is as follows: Engine runs well, no smoke, knocks it starts well hot and cold. Transmission engages instantly, shifts and moves forward and reverse. Brakes are firm, power steering works but does leak, AC does not work. Bumpers and grille excellent. All power windows work except drivers window, power seat works correctly. Doors fit and close properly. Car is complete right down to the tire wench and jack. Body is in nice condition except rust through under right rear seat, drivers side, and right rocker area shows rust and will need repair. Roof has some dents from something or somebody but they pull-out easily and will not require a great deal of work. One side glass broken. Rear glass and windshield excellent. The car runs, moves and stops, but is not roadworthy without additional work. Car is an excellent car for restoration. These Mark IIs are extremely collectable and command huge prices restored. The car will grade-out between a 4 minus and is priced far below a 5. Car is located in Austin, Minnesota and available for your inspection anytime before end of auction. Five hundred dollars deposit via paypal within 24 hours of auction, balance via check or cash within 14 days or upon removal.. Clear title. I will help assist in arranging shipping for the buyer at his or her request. E-mail with any questions. Thanks JohnOn Feb-08-15 at 12:16:04 PST, seller added the following information: I thought I'd add this since I've had a large number of inquires asking the same questions: The car came from the Warner Estate where it was part a very large collection of Lincolns. Warner purchased this car 1967 and was in his collection the entire time. It was kept in his facility (an old school complex) for almost 50 years! The car shows 64000 miles but I have no idea it that's original or not. Gauges including Tachometer work. With upper Midwest weather always a concern the car can stay here through March, if paid for in full, at no charge if the buyer chooses.
