Up for auction is a 1978 Volkswagen Sunroof Bus. I bought it a little over a year ago with the intentions of restoring, it was #5 in line. It's become obvious I'm not going to get to it anytime soon. It was originally a California bus that found its way to Pennsylvania and then to Maryland. The body - straight for its age with rust in the typical locations for a bay window (dogleg and rocker areas, around sunroof). Patch panels are available from online sources for all repairs. Floor pans, fender wells and frame rails are in nice condition with only one pinhole found in the drivers foot area. All doors including the sliding door are in good working order. The only parts I know that are missing is front and rear bumpers and windshield. Drivetrain - original engine is missing, have a rebuildable 1700 that's included. Original transmission is present, but removed from the bus. The bus is up for auction exactly as I bought it. All sales final.
