Vehicle Detail
Please do not bid if you have no bid history! I have sold this car five times to bidders that did not come through! I need to sell this vehicle. Please read the description carefully. New to Ebay? Please contact me with info before you bid. This is a 1971 Mustang Mach 1. VEHICLE MUST BE PAID IN FULL WITHIN 3 DAYS OF BID ENDING. VEHICLE MUST BE PICKED UP WITHIN TEN DAYS OF BID ENDING. YOU'LL NEED A WAY TO LOAD THE ENGINE. IT IS NOT IN THE CAR. LAST TRY: body code 63R, COL 6, TRIM 5B, AXLE 6, TRANS U, DSO 21.1f05m129420. I do have the title. I think it could be restored but I don't have the time. Had a few questions asked.c. Here's a bit more info... I DO HAVE THE ORIGINAL 351 CLEVELAND THAT CAME WITH THIS CAR. IT IS LOCKED UP FROM SITTING. IT IS THE ORIGINAL BLOCK AND HEADS AS FAR AS I KNOW.This car needs restoration. floor pans, trunk pans, battery tray, and radiator support need replaced. It was hit in the 70s in the driver side rear quarter just behind the door. Nothing real bad, but there is bondo in there. MY PARENTS BOUGHT IT NEW. IT IS LOCATED IN CHATTANOOGA, TN. Originally equipped with deluxe Mach 1 interior, air conditioning. Power steering. Does not have fold down rear seat. Does not have roll down rear windows. Sits on US mags that were put on there the week it was bought new. Air shocks in the rear do not hold air anymore. I have the two original keys to the car. The gas cap works and was replaced with NOS part. Drivers side rear quarter needs repair. It was hit in late 70s right behind driver side door. Some bondo in there. Other than that, there is no bondo. Floor pans need replaced. Trunk pan too. The inner fender aprons need replaced around battery tray which is not there anymore.RAdiator support needs replaced as well. I did throw away the front seats. The back seat is there. I had plans of installing recaro seats. There are extra interior trim pieces from two other cars. The front grill was broken, so I trashed it. I kept the hood scoops and the latch assembly for the hood, but the hood was in bad shape so I trashed it too. The dash is there. The front disc brakes came off a spirit of America 72 model that I had. The 429 I have for it was going to be rebuilt. While at a shop, the majority of the parts to it were stolen. I have some assorted parts to it including a cam and pistons. Main caps too. I have the original transmission too. I have one extra passenger side door and two driver side doors. The front fenders are from two diff cars. I started restoring in 2006. My wife developed cancer and passed away so I left it in the garage untouched since 2006. First time I've seen it was today when I pulled it out of the garage with a winch. The headers are there. I have an oil pan there but can't remember if it's from the orig motor or the 429. The dash is all there. I think I have the AC compressor. Rear windows including quarter glass is fine. When it sells, everything I have for the car goes with it. More info to add based on questions I have received: This is a Tennessee car. Floor pans, and trunk pans need replaced. the cowl hats need replaced too. That's probably the worst part : the cowl vents. Both the hats need some work. For the car to be done right, the cowl vents need to be replace as do The floor pans and the trunk pans. The air shocks are bad. There is some rust in the quarters, but nothing horrible. The doors could be replaced or fixed. I have extra doors that come with it and extra glass for the door and for the quarter glass. My brother drove this car until 1989. It had a built 351 Cleveland in it. It had roughly 465 hp and was too fast, so my parents took it away from him. It sat for a few years in the driveway, then another brother took it to restore. After a few years, I went to check on it and found it in a barn. I brought it home and began sanding it down to get rid of surface rust. My wife developed cancer and passed away leaving me with my 2 year old daughter and stopping me from working on the car. My parents bought it new in 1971 so it hold a lot of sentimentality and I hate to sell it. I just wont have the time to do it. It is a real Mach 1 with factory air. I have the auto transmission that came with it but don't know the condition. the 351 Cleveland was removed. I could probably track it down, but I had bought a 429 that I planned on stroking to a 514. That 429 was at a shop where a lot of the parts were stolen. I have the block and a few internal parts, but that's it. The back seat is there but I threw away the front seats, the hood, and the grill. The front bumper is the rubber style and could be repaired, but I planned on replacing. The hood scoops were removed before I threw the hood away. The hood latch assembly is there. The dash is there. The radio is gone. I had planned on doing a restomod, so originality was not a concern for me. The two fenders in the pics are from two different cars that I bought as parts cars. The trunk is filled with different trim pieces from parts cars. No bid history bidders must contact me before bidding.
