Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE 1932 Ford HI-Boy Custom Roadster Built by the best! Boyd Coddington Full Frame up Chassis Tony Wood(of George Barris fame) Bodywork Paul Atkins Interior This 1932 Ford custom build was built by the best builders in the southern California Hot Rod scene. The full frame up build was designed and built by Boyd Coddington, with body assembly by Tony Wood. Tony Wood was George Barris’s (Batmoblile, ect.) lead builder, and has gone on to do many top Hot Rod builds. This Coddington Car has center lock billet Boyds wheels and matching billet steering wheel. The suspension is all fully polished A–arm front and coil over shocks front and rear. The rear end is a smoothed and painted Ford 9” limited slip. The engine is a Corvette LT-1 built by Street & Performance Inc. that is fully polished and trimmed out. It runs very smoothly and has tons of power. The transmission is a Turbo 350 and shifts flawlessly. Fuel injection makes this car easy to start and runs cool in the heat. The custom exhaust has a great note, and is fully ceramic coated out to chrome megaphones under the rear end. The top gives the High Boy a Chopped look, but is also easily removable. The windshield is a custom edgeless glass for a more custom look. It is a one piece top with removable “pop-out” rear window and slide in sides. All the door handles have been smoothed and there are remote openers for trunk and hood. The exterior paint is finished is finished in show quality “Chrome Yellow” with a base clear finish that has been hand polished and rubbed. All the chrome, billet, and detailed have been polished to a high mirror like finish. The interior was custom done by Paul Atkins, from Codington’s shop, in tweed fabric with leather accents. All the components are show quality and high performance. This Hot Rod is a real showstopper that will be a hit at any cruise-in or car show. The car is excellent inside and out, should be trophy material at any show… The car was appraised by USA auto Appraisers at $57500.00 back in 2007, prior to Boyd’s passing, and would likely appraise for more today. This car is titled as a 1932 Ford Roadster, it currently has 9300 miles on it and is on our showroom floor for inspection. We welcome inspections PRIOR to end of auction.
