For Sale is a One-Owner 1996 Ford Ranger Splash Standard Cab 4x4 with the 4.0L V6 Engine and 5 Speed Manual Transmission. This has been my mother’s truck since it was purchased new in 1996. She now needs something to haul two grandchildren around with, therefore this Ranger is in search of a good home. Less than 57,000 original miles on the truck. It has the 4.0L six cylinder motor, 5 speed manual transmission, and has been dead reliable. Cruise control works. A/C blows cold. Heater is hot. Radio works although I can’t find a cassette to try the cassette player. Always garaged and no accidents. Includes the original manuals and both keys. The motor and trans are strong and tires have plenty of tread on them. The clutch slave cylinder has been recently replaced. At that time the clutch disc was inspected and the tech said there was greater than 50% life left on it. Known issues are: Check engine light that stays on. Disconnecting the battery turns it off, but it always returns after a couple cycles. The state inspection sticker is current. This problem is suspected to be a vacuum leak in the emission system. Truck runs and idles great. The driver’s seat belt does NOT stay latched. Passenger and middle positions work fine. The power mirror switch appears to be faulty. I can adjust the mirrors left, but not to the right. The overall appearance of the truck is good. It does have its share of nicks and scrapes all of which I've tried to show in the pictures. The headliner is probably the worst of it. Someone tried to vacuum it and scraped it up. My mother quit smoking years ago, but this truck has been smoked in. I had it hella cleaned when she quit smoking and again now to get it sold. I don’t smell anything offensive when I drive it but there are burn marks on the seat and carpet. Again, you can see for yourself in the pictures. Truck is sold as-is where is. I reserve the right to end the auction at any time if the truck is sold locally. Buyer assumes all risks. Buyer is responsible for all taxes and fees that may be required to register the vehicle in your state. Not interested in any trades. Truck will be sold for American dollars. No cashier’s checks, rail bonds or promise notes from your rich foreign uncle. Deposit due via Paypal immediately after auction ends. The balance is due within seven calendar days of auction end. Green folding money or wire transfer is preferred. Personal checks will be presented to your bank for cash. If a check is drawn on an out of town bank please note it will take a week or more for it to fully clear. All payments must FULLY clear before the vehicle, keys and title will be released.
