I have to offer a 1978 F150 **(Project truck) Selling As Is ** 36 years old.. MUST READ The original odometer read 02164 and only goes up to 99,999 so I assume it has 102164 miles on it or greater. I've enjoyed my old truck.. In the past 4 years this truck became a hobby and I have not finished it and have to sell it .. Though it might need rear tires and a battery , it still needs someone who knows a little mechanics who can get it going . You have to understand this is a project that needs further work to get it in driving condition.. It has never been broken in or driven from the spot it's in for 4 years. Also be aware It is very old and because of the age and condition I'm selling it AS IS .... I had this truck for 15 years and personally I'd rather have a older truck than a new one because it was easy to maintain.. This vehicle needs to be towed and move the front tires to the back to tow it ... There is NO REAR TIRES or BATTERY and the gas tank has been totally drained and cleaned ... Yes it needs to be towed . With that in mind AGAIN understand this is a 36 year old > project truck sold as is and has to be picked up and towed .. I've enjoyed my time using it and having something unique . In 4 more years it will be 40 years old and it's a body style that's stuck in between new and old ..You don't think of it being old but near 40 years old , it is ...It's very very old.. 　 　 The fallowing description to the best of my knowledge is correct to detail. The general description is >> 1978 F150 Custom with a 300 6 cylinder engine . Am radio, NO power steering and NO A/C. 　 　 Starting with the bottom chassis I have thoroughly cleaned primed and repainted front to back. It was important to me to have a clean frame . Installed Front : NEW Front Shocks Gabriel NEW Front Brake Pads NEW Brake caliper hoses Used Tires front ,Serviceable 1/4 tread Installed on Mid Frame: NOS NEW Gas tank sending unit New Rear universal joint Rear Frame: (NOTES) Rear axle>Ratio- Unknown ,may need adjusting or service Rear Brakes > Used fair condition , Serviceable 1/2 wear Rear Shocks > air shocks used , serviceable 6+ years Rear tires > NO REAR TIRES > It DOES have ALL 4 rims YES , and YES it Does have a nice set of Dog Dish Hub caps. Frame Bottom- No missing bolts or hardware detected Exhaust : (NOTES) NON Catalytic Manifold exhaust pipe > Used fair condition, rusty Muffler , Used fair condition, needs attention replace or repair ,6+ years old Exhaust pipe rear > Very good used condition, 6 years old Electrical wiring : (Notes) Sleeving desentigrating Re shielded with NEW flex conduit Light sockets may need upgrading to plastic. Metal sockets rusting Installed New: NEW Battery cables wire Connectors : Original to Harness > Plastic connectors are in fair to good shape Printed circuit: Dash Cluster , Used good condition The discription of the cab and body to the best of my ability is accurate as fallows .. I found non critical collision damage to the drivers side mid side between the door jam and back wheel well.. Shallow dents on top ridge of both bed sides and cab. Penetrating rust in the passenger side front floor pan,also in top of door jam at drip molding area. Penetrating rust in drivers rear behind back rear wheel and rear bumper. Overall condition of cab and bed was in poor condition but repairable .. It was sand blasted patched and repaired on a very LOW budget and you can see character flaws and needs buffing . Character flaws is defined as but not limited to runs , drips , dust and unevenness or surface imperfections .
