Up for action is this one of a kind 1976 Honda CB400F Supersport. This is not some cobbled together cafe racer. This machine was painstakingly, and professionally hand built by the skilled mechanics at The Shop in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, 15 years ago. Every detail of this motorcycle was built to AHRMA race specs for that time while maintaining it's ability to be street legal (excluding turn signals). This bike has only seen one race at mid ohio race course, and has been basically only ridden on the street since then. Visually it takes it's mark from the golden age of honda motorcycle racing history and borrowing lines from the great RC166 from the1960's Grand Prix circuit. Before I list all the high end componentry and performance upgrades, let me say that this machine is a great street legal riding motorcycle. (All of the stock charging components and fuse box are located under the seat) This is by far one of the most comfortable riding positions of any "cafe bike" I have ever ridden. (I'm 5'9" tall and 160 pounds) I have ridden this bike for hours at a time without any discomfort. This bike has not been dropped or put down since I have owned it. All the scratches and such are from being moved around in our race van for a couple of seasons. List of upgrades during original build include: fully rebuilt engine with only 8k on the fresh rebuild, new valves and valve springs, 1st over pistons and rings, ported head (flow tested on a super flow 110 flow bench) new clutch friction and metal plates and springs, all new control cables, new head stem bearings, new swing arm bushings, progressive front fork springs, progressive rear shocks, shindy brand front brake master cylinder with steel braided lines, duel front disk conversion, fully guseted frame, aluminum alloy race tank with deep sump, oil cooler, custom tuned and fabricated four into four megaphone exhaust, Excell 18 inch alloy rims front and rear, new wheel bearings front and rear, shindy brand fully adjustable steering damper. Bike is electric start only, kickstart gear has been removed from the engine. There is no key switch, it is a 3-way momentary toggle switch located on the dash. Title is clear, and the frame number matches the title number. Engine and frame are from the original bike. A full tune up has just been performed to include all fluids flushed and filled to include brake fluid and suspension fluid, brand new avon road rider tires front and rear with new tubes, new Yausa brand battery has been installed, new drive chain has been installed, This machine is ready to ride.
