Vehicle Detail
You, are bidding on a 1971 VW Super Beetle. This a very clean and rust free car to finish this winter and have ready by next summer. A lot of stuff has been done already. The engine was removed and had top end rebuilt with rebuilt heads, pistons, and cylinders. During the testing and tune-up of the engine the throttle cable broke. I have not replaced that since winter set in. The front trunk area was taken all the way down to metal then epoxy coated. Then it was rhino lined to make sure that area is protected from any rust issues. The floor area has no rust issues either. It did have a perfectly square hole cut out of the rear passenger floor pan. I just welded in a patch, I hated to cut the floor out since the metal was so straight and rust free. This car has spent most of its life out in southern California and you can tell by the car being so straight and rust free. I have all the parts to put this back together except for the above mentioned throttle cable. I put in a new battery, I bought brand new interior underlayment for the carpet area. It does have a amateur paint job, but that was put on to protect the body. Most of the body was also sanded down to metal and epoxy coated then the paint sprayed on to protect the car. The car also has no bumpers with the car. The tires hold air but will need replaced. If you are in my local area and want to see the car just send me a message and we will set something up. The car has set in my garage for the last 5 years and I really do not have the time to finish it. That is why I am selling it plus the wife thinks I have to many projects.
