1964 Thunderbird2 Door Hardtop Coupe This is a project car or excellent parts car Car does start & run (with a little priming as the carb needs tuning, as does the engine). I don't know a lot about the car & history - I just don't have time or space to do the project due to some unforeseen circumstances. I believe the prior owners were looking to make a street ghetto rider. Old amp & subwoofer they installed were removed prior to my ownership. Lemans Cobra 390 engine - I was told it has recently been rebuilt. I find nothing of any serious concern - picsOdometer reads 01390 New Holley 4 barrel carb - Not the original air filter assembly setup and it should be redone to original design. Because of what the prior owner did, they moved the battery to the trunk. Car needs to be repainted. It should be stripped down to bare metal & redone. Two areas where some body work repairs are needed. Behind right rear wheel (pic 9 ) and at top of left quarter panel where roof meets (pic 8) - best method would be butt weld vs lap weld (or replace Q panel). The prior owners tried the cheap quick way & painted over surface rust without properly prepping (paint bubbling). I attacked most of it & treated with vinegar water & primer to stop any more rusting, but there is at least one other area I have not gotten to yet (will try soon). Appears the trunk pan was repaired/replaced with a fiberglass type repair. I would have a new sheet metal pan installed. Trunk weather seal needs to be replaced (replacement is in a bag in the trunk) and new lock/cover installed. I have not found any issues with floorboards, but also have not pulled up carpet. All appears sound. Appears all chrome is in tack & in good shape. Interior is good (see comments below) Upholstery with no tears or cuts, few screws missing. Carpet is decent but ultimately should be replaced. Swing away steering column needs lock pin (work). Dash with one crack on top by steering wheel (pic 12). Windshield small crack at base & seal should be replaced. Power steering unit appears to be needing replacement, but the manual steering works. I drove it onto & off car carrier & up driveway hill.The prior owners put Mustang wheels on it. I have 1964 original 15" wheels & 5 Red Spinner hubcaps I can throw in if right price is obtained on car or I will sell separaely on Ebay as where I bought them last Fall. Overall a pretty clean car, just needs work, which I don't have time or space for now. Happy bidding Pay pal only thanks No refunds so ask questions, review pics, see car in person. Sold as is.
