1989 Euro market 280GE "G-Wagon". This is an '89, but the eBay computers do not recognize the euro VIN, so it is listed as an '80. We have had about 12 of these Euro market cars come through and this is by far, the nicest. These early euro delivery cars were built before Mercedes started pinching pennies and dialed back their build quality due to financial pressure from other manufacturers. As you can see from the photos, the quality shows and despite being 25 years old, this G280 still looks excellent. This is a one owner unit that spent most of its life on the channel islands and has extremely low miles. It was very well optioned with power windows, sliding rear glass, rear defrost/wiper and factory alloy wheels. Most of these Euro cars were fairly simple by modern standards, so it's unusual to find one with these extra creature comforts. Mechanically, everything functions as expected and could easily be a daily driver. The car is quiet, comfortable and will even cruise well at highway speeds. The gearbox and motor in these were shared by many other models imported into the states, so service is easy and handled by any shop that services other Mercedes products from the 80s and 90s.
