This Jeep was owned by a government agency (County Utility Authority) and was used to read meters since it was new in 2006. It cranks right up, drives and shifts out great, engine, transmission, brakes, lights, air condition, heat, etc. all work properly. The photos were taken the day before the listing, December 19, 2014, and show the postal jeep in its current condition! This unit was in service up until about 7 months ago and disposed of simply because new ones came in, not sold because of any issues or problems, we purchased it directly from the utility authority not at an auction or from a broker/dealer. The Jeep is 100% roadworthy, has been serviced by the agency just like the manufacture recommends, it is not new but has still has plenty of useful life left in it, tire condition can be seen in the photos. A few negative things to bring out are first of all please understand this is a Postal Edition of the Jeep Wrangler Sport, it is right hand drive and is a plain Wrangler Hardtop, it is not customized and does not have all the bells and whistles a loaded Wrangler has, the paint/body has some scratches and dings around it that can clearly be seen in the photos, the authority that owned the Jeep is in Florida and several of the spots where paint has been bumped or scratched off now have light surface rust, unit was not used on the beach or anything like that but close enough to water when metal was exposed for a long time rust began to form, simple surface rust and nothing rusted deep into the metal or anything like that, just a few spots and are all mentioned/photographed, look at the photos from underneath, unit is not rusted out, as you take a photo tour around the Jeep you will see the driver’s side front fender has a spot where it is scratched and has light surface rust, behind the antenna on the bottom side of the windshield mount you will see a scratch and light rust spot, the driver’s door has scratches where the employee has been getting in and out of it, the driver’s door handle has a little paint wore off, just above the handle you will see a scratch and light rust, the rear bumper on passengers side is bent, below the rear cargo door has scratches where items have been loaded and unloaded regularly, the driver’s seat has considerable wear, the front floorboard on both sides has no carpet or mats, the arm rest which is also the top of the center console is plastic and is busted/cracked – needs to be replaced, the rear cargo door has wear and scratches where items have been loaded and unloaded on a regular basis, those are all the negative things that we found and wanted to point out! We do guarantee the Jeep to crank up and drive down the highway with no problems when you arrive to get it, other than that the unit is being sold as-is, where-is. It has been checked out mechanically, fluid levels and tire pressure checked/maintained, driven over 100 miles and cleaned although it still could use a good cleaning with a little more detail.
